It always comes on the date!! Now its late 3 days and that has never happened. I think it’s gone again but it can’t be! Even when my period was “gone” I still had it ON THE DATE but just one day instead of one week.

I haven’t lost any weight I’ve just been up and down 10 pounds. Ok, maybe thats much to go “up and down” but at average...
The only thing I can come up with as a difference is that I’ve been exercising 2 weeks every or other day. Maybe that’s something to do with it?

Has this happened to anyone else? Can it disappear like 1 year after weight loss?!?

Ps. I’ve got this "Copper-Intra Uterine Device” so I don’t think I’m preg!

it depends.
if your weight has fluctuated a lot, then it can affect your period.
but a missed or late period can be caused by so many other things.
stress, bad diet, illness, medications, weight gain or loss...
i wouldn't stress TOO much over 1 missed period.
it's bound to happen eventually.
if you miss it again, or it ends up being 2 months of a missed period, i'd go to the doctor just in case.

Thx for your reply :)

It’s frustrating though, because is has never been late. I can even put the time when I’ll be having it sometimes... But I guess it’s something with the weight... How sensitive is it?

I never had a period before but I have heard that intense consistent exercise can eliminate periods when you do it. I think its common in professional female athletics. I read it when I was fourteen. haha

I lost my period for 4 years. I lost it at my skinniest and since then I have gained 20lbs, Im a healthy weight and I've been at this weight for almost 5 months now and still nothing... I wonder if my body just forgot how to mensturate since its been so long... <sigh> I never thought Id see the day I missed having a period.

Could you be pregnant? That a sign or as the ladies said exercise and fluctuating weight also stress.

What weight did you loose your period? Xx

It could be your coil.If it has hormones in it then it affects your period.Overtime with a lot of women it can lighten their periods and also can stop them completely at least that's what my doctor told me-it's completely normal.I've had mine in since October and recently my periods have got lighter and have been lasting one day instead of 1 week.In could be the exercise/restricting but it's more likely the coil.

I have lost my period since I was 240lbs. I also hope it comes back sometime.

My period is also late, and I'm thinking that it has stopped. I haven't had a period since early in May. I thought that maybe I was pregnant, because I'm not particularly thin, but I've taken three pregnancy tests and all have been negative. My BMI is 18.6, although my eating habits have been pretty bad lately. I just didn't think it was bad enough for my period to disappear. I'm not really stressed, and I haven't been exercising any more than I have been for the last couple of years. It's strange. I agree with what helpimalive said, if you continue missing it after two months, see a doctor about it. I'm going to do the same.

That's soo individual. Even on my LW with a BMI of like 17.7-18 I still got my period as usual

It also depends immensely on nutrition. Even at a BMI of 18ish (which is higher than what it used to be) I haven't gotten mine this month probably because I've been eating less and less the past few weeks. Generally, whether I restrict a lot or eat well is what determines it these days, because my weight has been stable for almost 4 months but for about 2 of those 4, I haven't gotten it.

instead of weight it could be stress? I've not had mine days or weeks because I've been stressing over a test, or stressing because it's not come... Might be an idea to check that you're not pregnant anyway ^_^

Its pretty hard to tell at what weight you could loose them, I lost mine when my bmi dropped to about 12-13 got it back when my bmi was about 14-15 but I have a teeny frame like my dad who's 6 foot and 60-65 kg but stress, loosing weight rapidly, and poor diet lack of nutrients can cause you to loose them

I haven't had a period since December 2010, but mine has always been very irregular.

Like everyone else saiid, it's effected by stress etc. Also I think it has more to do with what you eat and how you exercise at the time, not your weight at the time. You could have a bmi of 16 and eat lots and still get your period but if your bmis 18 and you barely eat it'll stop. If you're losing it's going to happen.
