I'm Scared

Please help, I've just self injured on my wrist and it's a little deeper than usual. It slowing bleeding but isn't stopping. I've even applied pressure, cold water, TCP to clean it and raised my arm over my heart to stop it and clean it, now there's pressure on it and put on a wound dressing. I don't care if i need to see a doctor for stitches (although that scares me) but I want to stop the bleeding so it can start healing and I can continue as usual. I feel shaky and sick but that is probably because I'm scared. I realise I have probably contradicted myself in this paragraph but I'm scared. Please help me. Any advice is appreciated.

if it is not spurting out blood and the cut is only on your wrist then you can be sure that you havent hit an artery. thats good news. the bleeding is "only" regular blood vessels.
keep pressure on the wound and your arm elevated for at least half an hour, if the bleeding does not stop within one or two hours after you cut...please go see a doctor.
you may be experiencing shock so please lay down if you feel at all dizzy or ill, have something sugary to drink and call someone to sit with you. even if the blood loss isnt severe you might still pass out and you wouldnt want to hit your head/swallow your tongue or something :)

so: keep calm, apply pressure, elevate limb, keep hydrated, call for help
go seek medical treatment if the bleeding doesnt stop, they can stitch you up in no time, if need be :)
