Has anyone ever used one? Do they help? When I googled it, the mixed responses were insane.

I'd really like someone I can openly talk to and then never have to talk to again... I have a psychiatrist, but I feel weird being super open with him. It's just too early, although it's been a year. Sometimes I struggle with suicidal fantasies and I really, really would like someone to talk to who can't directly impact me, you know? But actually TALK, not type.

So the other night I thought of using a suicide hotline, but I'm afraid that in such a severe state of vulnerability they'll be assholes haha and I'll be crushed.

So, have any of you ever used one? What was your experience? Thanksies <3

The Befrienders (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.) are a good one, or if you're in the UK, I'll point you to the Samaritans.

I don't think they'll be arseholes, though. They volunteer in their free time to help girls like you. All I can say is that, sometimes, they can be out of their depth. They're not formally trained, but they're good listeners. I imagine that's all you're after.

I've called a few just for kicks.
They all have the same tone of voice. I don't like it. I would never call them in a serious situation.
But that's me.
