The part about the leaf was filler. I can't think of anything that'd rhyme and make sense.
Forever Scarred
A paedophile,
Living free,
Walking down the same streets,
as you and me.
A child,
Happy and unaware
Sitting in a car.
On her way to anywhere,
A man,
Grabbing some lunch,
Then on his way home,
He steps on a leaf and it goes crunch
An innocent,
And her father,
Meet up at the park,
She thinks they'll always be together.
Normal life,
May just be a trick of the light,
Because by the evening,
They start to fight.
Daddy wants to help,
He wants to wash her,
And follow her to bed,
He wants to turn his baby into his lover.
A daughter,
Who knows what's right,
Says no to dad,
Go away and leave me for the night.
A predator,
Pushes until she cries,
Touches,
And pries.
A victim,
lying on a pullout bed,
Silent tears are falling,
She tries to hide in her head,
A morning later,
She's been vowed to silence,
Silence or death,
But when she told anyway,
Her mom wished him a death sentence.
Never did that man go to jail, at least not to the little girls knowledge. He walked free. Lived life like any normal person. Visited his son, the little girls baby brother, at his house. He'd occasionally show up at their house, to pick him up or drop him off. She'd answer the door and as soon as she saw his face she'd slam it shut with amazing force. She was five when this happened, but now she's fifteen. She's been through a lot and is a bit worse for wear, but she's getting through life. It's often hard as she has to deal with depression, anxiety and an eating disorder, but she's making it (She also wants to make it clear that it's not all been caused by the molestation). As for that man he died almost a year ago. Sometimes life seems to be a mess, a horrible and awful thing. But everyone keeps telling that girl things will get better. She's not sure if it's true, she thinks that for things to get better you have to try to make them better.
