View Full Version : Diet Buddy Wanted!!
Hey,
I'm looking for a diet buddy!
I had mia/ana for a couple of years and a few months back I was heading into some pretty important exams so I decided that I needed to stop and take care of my body so I could perform my best. I did but, of course, the weight pilled on.
Now I'm determined to lose weight without fasting or purging. I'm probably not going to do it in a perfectly healthy way but at least I'll be growing up a little.
I am 5'3", my current weight is 112lbs. I hope to drop to between 98lbs and 102lbs for my holiday with my boyfriend in 16 days - no easy task!
I plan to do this by eating fruit, veg, diet coke and water only and by exercising as much as possible.
I've never done this before so I don't know how much I will lose per day. I'm hoping it'll be roughly 1lb every two days.
I am looking for someone who'd like to take this challenge with me. I'll offer support, friendship and advice in return,

Hi I need to loose weight. I have read about the zig zag diet also known as calorie shifting. I am going to start it tomorrow. You are supposed to loose about 9lb in 11 days, worth a try x :-)

Hiya, I am doing really well so far.. I am aiming for 1489 cals today and had 751 so far so doing well. I am not feeling hungry at all. I have drank loads of water. I am 8 stone 11 atm so gonna weigh myself next monday. Let me know how you go too :-)

Okay well I'm doing okay... I had to go under general anaesthetic this morning ( no big deal just for a test) so I was forced to eat a slice of toast afterwards - angry nurses, haha!
So far I've had:
One slice of toast
Two cups of tea
One can of diet coke
I'm still a bit weak after this morning so I don't think I'll be doing any exercise today. I'll probably not eat anything else today to compensate for that...
It's 3.50 now. I'm usually fine up to 5.30ish but then the hunger kicks in, do you find that too? My room's really untidy so I'm going to lock myself up there cleaning. That should distract me! :)
What's your goal weight?

I am not sure what my goal weight is going to be, I am gonna see how I go I would rather be too thin and need to put a little weight on than fat and need to loose weight. I am thin but its fat around my middle, my hips thighs stomach bum etc.. I hate being able to pinch fat, its horrible. Everyone says you look great but I dont feel it. I kinda eat steady through the day but do get rather hungry towards the evening so I try to drink more water then.
Yeah, water is great. I wouldn't be able to diet without it.
I don't know how you can wait until Monday to weigh yourself. I'm totally addicted. I know it's stupid because weight fluctuates so much within a day... I was 108lbs this morning - SUCCESS! I know I only dropped that much because my stomach was empty and it's mostly water weight but it was a good psychological boost.
I'm sooo lazy when it comes to exercise these days. I'm going to go do some resistance training now to maintain muscle and keep that metabolism a little bit higher. I think I'm going to start eating lean protein soon to maintain muscle mass.
I'm sure you do look great by the way. Flab is so annoying. It's difficult to hide it during bikini season unfortunately... You'd be surprised how much the right can hide though!

I have 3 kids so for exercise we have a trampoline, lolo ball, skipping rope, hula hoop etc.. also go for walks reg, I live near a mountain so try to walk up to the top when the weather is good. Also not far from a park and the beach so play badminton and take a ball and frisbee with us too. I do feel like I have lost weight but its the time of the month this week :mad: so dont want to weigh just yet, will wait till monday to get a better reading :p..

I also drink green tea which is good for the metabolism and ice cold water is too. Also there are loads of foods to that burn more calories digesting them than they actually are which is great too.
Yeah, that's clever. I'm desperate for drinking diet coke. I must try to get rid of my sweet tooth. What kind of "negative calorie" foods do you eat? I can't believe you weigh that little after having three kids! That's seriously impressive.

Thanks :) I eat asparagus, broccoli, carrots, cucumber, garlic, green beans, raspberries, apples, lettuce, onions, spinach, turnip list goes on.. Chicken is good fish too. I eat alot of fruit veg and salad but have chicken and tuna once a week. I cant wait to weigh monday, I might try tomorrow not sure yet depends how I feel in the morning :p my scales at home aint that good so weigh at a chemist. Will let you know how I get on x

Anyway how are you doing? What do you eat? I can just about fit in my size 8 jeans.. looking forward in wearing them again. I love them wore them all the time before I got pregnant on my last child. Kept them tho as wanted to get back to that size as it was when I felt at my best and comfortable in how I looked. :)

Well, I weighed myself today and guess what? I am 8 stone 6! Its amazing. I do feel as if I had lost weight and I have :) :) :) thats 5lb in 5 days. As I was 8 stone 11. Dont know if I will loose as much next week tho but will stick at it and see how I go. Hope you are doing well too x

Hey all! I'm in! I've been ana and mia for about 7 years and am largly recovered but my eating habbits still aren't very normal. I just had a baby so I'm up about 40lbs from where I want to be. I've already lost 60 in the last three months. Yay me. Anyway--my goal is to loose another 20 by christmas--think I can do that? I'm vegan so my diet consists mostly of veggies (and cigarettes--haha). My daily intake runs between 100-500 cals. The problem I'm having is forcing myself to exercise. I hate it--I'd rather just starve myself but I know that's not the best idea. I'm so happy to find people like you on here and I'm hoping to have some dieting friends for support.
