This board is full of poets, songwriters, artists, and potential novelists! But what if your creativity lies outside of pen and paper? Seamstresses, knitters, crocheters? Decoupage, origami, needle point?

I for one (while I also write and sing and all that jazz), quite enjoy sewing. I find it to be very zen, and useful to boot.

Though not everything I make could be considered necessary, by the strictest definition of the word. Case in point:

I make tiny hoodies for my iPod.

(It's a bunny)

Does anyone else craft? Is there already a thread for it that I missed somehow?

Aw, thank you! I have a collection (20+) iPod hoodies. I also make flannel/fleece pajamas (in fact, that's what everyone got for Christmas this year, over 15 sets! I think I'm done with jammies for a while), I made the duvet cover on my bed, a ridiculous cape lined in red velvet, and I'm a big crocheter. I made myself a Gryffindor scarf that's a foot wide by almost 10 feet long. I'd love to see some of your craftiness, if you feel like posting pics! I'll post a few more later too :D . I practically live in Joann Fabrics 90% of the time so I know the feeling re: keeping you sane!

Thank you! The bunny is a big hit with people. It's probably the most requested when I take requests (which I do a lot, because I get bored often. I've given away probably 30 hoodies).

When you dig out your cam I'd love to see pics! I get really inspired seeing what other people come up with!

Here are a few more pics of random things I've made in the last month or two:

Some itsy bitsy ones I've made for a friend's nano:

The Rocktopus a.k.a. Squid Vicious

And my bed, on which I made: two pillows (the pink bolster and the gray throw) the Alice in Wonderland (NOT TWILIGHT!) inspired chessboard duvet and my ridiculously huge Harry Potter scarf. Ignore SpongeBob being creepy in the corner...

Surprisingly enough, I didn't take any pictures of the pajamas I made. Hmmm... I'll see if I can con one of my friends into modeling for me after Christmas...

Goodness that's a lot of pictures. I hope everyone has fast internetz.

Psych, I guess I'm only allowed to post 4 pictures at a whack.

As promised, a couple pictures of pajama-rama!

These were taken with my blackberry in less than great light, so escucci if they're a bit low-fi.

Those crafts are amazing!
I'm a girlscout and my troop is very crafty so a lot of the things I make with them are usually sold for fundraising, but for this recent thing we did, we made mini top hats dream catchers, bags, stuffed animal dolls, jewelry, headbands and a bunch of other stuff. When I'm crafting on my own time I like to make friends ship bracelets and really complicated kandi (pony bead bracelets), or whatever floats my boat.
I really just like having something to do with my hands that is either mind numbingly therapeutic, or requires a lot of attention to detail, making something cute and cool is just a plus :]
