Ok so I think I should start eating breakfast seeing as I become too ravenous later if I don't.
What would be a good start to he day thats roughly 30-100 cals? Any ideas :)?

I don't know where you're from but there's that yogurt "Activia" by Danone (Europe), Dannon (US). It's available with many different tastes for instance strawberry or vanilla. I love the one with cereals in there, it's only 61 cal and low fat. I like to have it for breakfast when I'm restricting :)

I like to have some of these things:

2 slices of turkey bacon w/ 1/4 c. egg beaters (100)
2 slices "nature's own" low-calorie toast w/ 1/4 c. egg beaters (100)
2 slices "nature's own" low-calorie toast w/ 2 T "50/50" sugar-free jam (80) <- the toast is 70 calories, 35 calories a slice
1 packet sugar-free oatmeal w/ cinnamon (100)
1/4 c. egg beaters (30) (1/2 c. = 60 calories)
1/2 c. sugar-free almond milk w/ 1/2 c. corn flakes (67) (you can also use toasted rice, chex, etc)

Breakfast is the easiest meal to make low-cal :D

Egg whites are 17 cals each, whole eggs are 70 or 80
Diet bread can be as low as 40 cals but regular ones are 80-90 usually
And like everyone else said there's fruit, low-fat cereal/fat free milk, fat free yogurt, etc.

My favorite is an egg white omelet:
Two egg whites + half a slice of low fat cheese = ~55 calories

I love grapefruit for breakfast. I find a really heavy one (means it has lots of juice) cut it in half, then cut round all the little sections and sprinkle on a tiny bit of low cal sweetener. It works out at 40-45 cals. And grapefruit is a "superfood" too :)

my favorite meal is a white egg omelette and turkey bacon (: usually i'll put two egg whites into the frying pan with a dash of cheese and then heat up two slices of turkey bacon. all in all it's around 60 or 70 calories and very filling. it's also borderline zero fat. very quick calories to wash out.

I also like egg whites as a breakfast. Sometimes I cook them with tomatoes or celery (maybe not to everyone's taste, but I like it. Try whatever you feel like). Egg whites are particularly filling, I'm not hungry afterwards for ages.

Otherwise, this is going a bit over the calories you said you wanted, but one of my current favourites is oatmeal (~110 depending on the brand).

My deviations from the above include yoghurt, rice cakes, fat free cream cheese on crackers, fruit, bread, and probiotic yoghurt drinks.

Turkey Bacon/Egg Cups

Turkey bacon (cook halfway in microwave) (35 cals)
Cut in half, criss-cross in a (greased/sprayed) muffin pan.
Table spoon of sala (optional if you don't like) (10 cals)
Egg white on top with salt/pepper to taste. (17 cals)
Top with a bit of cheese for taste.
Bake for 25-30 mins.
Eat and enjoy!

I make these for dinner ALL THE TIME! They are so awesome. They are usually under 75 calories each (as long as you use just the egg white... not the yolk!)

0% Greek Yogurt! It's the best. I take that add a little stevia and vanilla. one cup has 100 calories and 23g of protein. The protein keeps me full.

I was always afraid of Greek Yogurt due to the calories, but I had no idea it had that much protein!! Might be worth it, except that it's so expensive compared to my regular yogurt.

Recently I've been having a kiwi (45 calories) and 2 clementines (44). I add a spoon of soya yoghurt and half a crumbled up ginger nut biscuit to that which brings it to about 135, but you could leave them out or just add enough yoghurt to make it 100

I love 3 egg whites with a dash of chilli powder in an omlette, but we've rarely got enough eggs with 1-cal spray oil. (58)

Mostly for restricting breakfasts I have (this is really weird) smoked salmon with a few leaves of spinach and some mushrooms... microwaved (can be under 50 cal). I dislike the texture of mushrooms and the whole general meal with this one, so don't really know why I eat it and wouldn't recommend it. And it's not really a breakfast type meal, it's just random foods... Oh well. x

Breakfast should be your biggest meal of the day if possible. Things I think are pretty good:
- 2 egg omelette (take out a yolk to cut down around 50 calories), 75g tuna = roughly 260 calories, 33g protein. Keeps you full throughout the day.
- 2 egg omelette with salsa. Around 200 calories, 15g protein.
- 100g greek yoghurt = 52 calories, 9g protein.
- 100g Green vegetables (broccoli, snap peas), dipped in salsa. <100 calories
- 100g cottage cheese - (depending on brand) around 80 calories, 10g protein

The food I eat isn't very exciting though.

I love grapefruit too!! 1/2 a grapefruit is my breakfast or a glass of orange juice. I'm really lucky because we have really sweet grapefruit over here and I don't even have to add sweetener or anything! :)

Rarely will I have a micro-croissant (60 cals) with herb & garlic cream cheese (50) or butter (25) or blueberrry jam (10) with low-fat topping. (25) Which would come up to about 100-120 calories. I don't know if anyone has tried micro-croissants but they are SO convinient and better than some average croissants! Which have about 272 calories so you are saving about 200 calories with a different croissant and the taste is the same! But I will only have it rarely like on mondays and wednesdays.

Fiber one cereal: 60 cal for a half a cup, and with half a cup of skim milk, it comes to 100.
Also, kelloggs fruit crisps. They're like pop tarts, but 50 calories each. So 100 per pack.
I like diet cocoa for breakfast. Swiss miss- 25 cal for a big steamy mug:)

eggseggseggseggs < they are super good for you + low cal + protein keeps you fuller for longer. I like scrambled eggs with spinach and tomato.
If you want something sweet you can make a really tasty low cal smoothie with yogurt (or milk), frozen berries & sweetener. << but this isn't as filling :(

yea I'm on board with the egg whites because they are lean and a good source of protein : ) Other things not mentioned you could add to ur egg whites spinage, peppers, onions, a turkey sausage link (or meatless sausage like morning star brands) fat free cheese, and any other veggies you like.

I also enjoy special k with unsweetened almond milk (40 cals per cup of almond milk) I just add some calorie free sweetener to it.

1/2 cup quick oats cooked and then add some unsweetened applesauce yummy perfect for a cold morning and filling too!

Some grab and go options

fruit
90 calorie granola bars
i believe gogurt is under 100 cals

hope this helps : )

my favorite breakfast that tastes like its much higher in calories than it actually is:

~blueberry crisp~ (makes 1 serving)
1/2 cup blueberries (40)
1/2 packet plain oatmeal (50)
1-3 packets 0-cal sweetener

place blueberries in a bowl or in a small oven safe dish. place in microwave for 30 seconds. stir and sprinkle with sweetener, stir again. poor oatmeal and remaining sweetener on top of blueberries. microwave for another 30 seconds. stir, let cool, and serve. (90 calories)

you can use any fruit you like and add spices and such if you want it would just add the calories, I just love blueberries. also i use stevia, and quaker oats original oatmeal (100 calories per packet) for this.

You can put that sugar-free preserves+fiber on any kind of toast/rice cake and it's pretty good... if you only eat one it works well with bread+fat free ricotta+preserves

- this greek yogurt thats called Tamara Vally or something like that. Anyway its sugar free, 98% fat free, gluten free and its 80 cals per tub, yep its good.
- or a protien smoothie but thats rather high in cals and I only have it when I need protien, ahaha.

every morning i have 1/4 cup of plain instant oatmeal.
i add lots of water so its like a soup.
then i add splenda and cinnamon.

it feels like a big meal but its a bit less than 100 calories, and it keeps me full for a good 4-5 hours.

Barbara's shredded wheat cereal... 100 calories is about 20 pieces and its very filling. I like my cereal dry but almond/soy/rice milk is usually around 60 cals a cup so half a cup would only be 30 calories.

Black coffee, vitamins, and a piece of fruit. The fruit will fill you up and give you energy, the vitamins will give you extra nutrients so you won't crave bad stuff later on and the coffee is just good to get you going, plus it's a very strong anti-oxidant. If your fruit is citrus, then you get a double shot of anti-oxidants. You'll feel great.

I have the same thing for breakfast every day.. and it's exactly 152 calories but you can make smaller portions with it.

1/3 cup natural wheat bran 67
3/4 cup water 0
1 packet raisins 50
Microwave in a bowl and watch cause it will bubble up. Mix and put in microwave until it almost overflows.
Mix in 1 serving fat free yogurt 35

It is watery.. but if you add 2-4 splenda packets it tastes really good.. Like bran soup or something lolz. It's really high in fibre ^_^

You're best off reserving 100-200 if you ask me. I like to have 3/4 cup of kashi golean for breakfast with a cup of coffee. 110 calories.

Everyone's suggestions have been great. Egg whites from boiled eggs are a personal favorite for me.

But try jerky sticks if you like beef or whatever - it's all protein, 80 calories each. It's good to have protein after a night of fasting so you don't lose muscle mass. =)

Oooo beef jerky sticks....have to try that to help my protein cravings.

Breakfast is so hard when you can't get out of bed early and you're rushing to wherever and "don't have time"....then you forget etc etc and by the time you know it, it's midday and then lunch time >.<"

So, now I'm starting to grab a small yoghurt and then run off... ^^

Oh and sometimes I get lazy to pack my bag before bed as well.

Juice is good......I just end up running to the toilet very quickly.

I have two eggs every morning. It's a lot of protein, and it keeps me full for a long time; I've gone without eating until like 4PM without even noticing, just on two eggs. They're very sustaining, not to mention there's a lot of articles saying people who ate eggs rather than a bagel, even of the same amount of calories, for breakfast, those that ate eggs lost significantly more weight.

They're about 70 calories each, so you could eat just one, or you could use egg whites instead, which are about 10 calories each and have half the protein. Ooor you could use boxed egg whites like Egg Beaters. All super low-cal, but I find egg whites aren't as filling and don't work as well to tide me over for the day.

I'm big on green tea and coffee myself. I find eating in the morning causes me to eat more during the day. But, I sometimes like to just take a half a handfull of sea-salted almonds or trail mix in a baggie with me. Which I find also helps if you tend to over eat, Because then you only have a limited amount at hand. ~
