(It's gross, but informative. Starts at 3:06).

Apparently, people who eat more calcium excrete more fat than those who eat less calcium. Almost double the amount! Studies suggest that calcium in low-fat dairy form a sort of "gel" in your stomach that prevents fat absorbtion from food. You can get calcium from other sources like veggies and supplements, but generally, dairy has more calcium than any other food.

I used to avoid dairy because I'd always heard it was fattening, but this changed my mind completely! Next time I buy groceries I'm definately gonna get some fat-free yogurt and cheese. Just thought I'd share the info.

Let's not start any arguments about this, plz and thnx. I'm really sick of arguing with people on here about these things. Let me have my opinion >_>;

While dairy may help with the fat - Ive heard that too - dairy also naturally slows down your metabolism so be careful !

I know yoplait did a study that suggested women who had a nonfat yogurt daily had less weight on their abdomins than women who didnt.

Interesting stuff...

I don't see how dairy would slow down your metabolism :\ where did you hear this? I'd like to research it.

(And I may as well not ask for an argument because it seems everyone has something to disagree with me about).

EDIT: Re-worded my post, it sounded a little bitchy, which wasn't my intention.

I always thought the same thing about calcium (that it was fattening) because of animal fats, and lately milk/cheese/yogurt has sounded repulsive so I assumed I had too much calcium and not enough protein/other nutrients.

But this is interesting! Thanks for sharing, it might be worth giving a try! Please let us know if you try it and how it works for you :]
