Escitalopram? Help!

Has anyone ever taken it? I'm just wondering since it says that it may cause weight gain but then again I read online that it's insignificant, so...

Totally freaking out right now because I cannot get fatter than I already am. I feel like crying every time I think about gaining.

So, please help?

Didn't for me, and I was on it for about a year. Gained on other meds too, so I know I'm prone to weight gain, but the escitalopram didn't make me gain a pound. You should try it.

Does anyone know what makes you gain weight when you're on meds? Is it the fact that you feel better and then don't seel so guilty about eating or just some chemical thing?

I dont think it is going to make u gain weight but i just started today n it is my first time taking any meds like this also i am 23 n it reallllyyyy fkd me up. I feel 100 times worse than normal i mean its another level of bad this on the 10mg its like i had 20 cups of coffee n energy drinks. I dont get y its going to make u feel like sh*t before it makes u feel good, its like if u survive this than u'll b fine

I'm taking escitalopram now and had very good result with it in my mood along with zero side effect from it,,so no I havent gained weight on it that Im aware of,,give it a trial time,,good luck
