Hahah this sounds really stupid, but does anyone know of any exercises that can be done in/on bed?

I run a lot and do the usual crunches and jumping jacks but in the evening i get really frustrated in bed when i dont feel like ive done enough (i have a double bed that takes up most of my room).
So yeah does anyone know of any simple stuff like leg lifts and how to do them, i just don't know if i'm doing them right etc.

That's not a stupid question at all! I get that same feeling at times, too!

For leg lifts, you're basically just laying in bed with your arms laying on your sides (or sometimes it helps to have them tucked under you) while you lift your legs (keeping it totally straight) up to a 90 degree angle, and back down (but not ALL the way down, make sure your feet don't touch the floor!), and just repeat.

Another exercise that I've done in my old martial arts class and on the rowing team is laying on your back, lifting your head and shoulders off the ground, and lifting your legs about six inches or so off the ground, and then just holding that position for 30 seconds. You can really feel the burn around your abs, and I usually shake when I'm doing it, lol. But I think it does help, and you can even challenge yourself to hold yourself up for a minute, or even two minutes!

The third exercise I want to mention is what my tae kwon do instructor and rowing coach called the bridge. You start out by getting into the starting push-up position (arms supporting your body shoulder width apart, feet up, etc.), except instead of your arms being completely straight, you go down on your elbows instead, and make sure your body is completely straight (no butt sticking out in the air) so you look like a bridge, and then all you have to do is hold this position for like a minute or so! It's supposed to be a good workout for your abs, too. I like to do things to distract myself like listen to music, sing a song, or count prime numbers in my head, lol.

And finally, the last exercise I want to mention is called V sit-ups, I think. The people on the rowing team called it something like, shutting the suitcase or something, lol. But basically, it's like the leg lifts where you're raising your legs up from the ground, but for V sit-ups you're also raising your arms straight up above you at the same time your legs are going up. You touch your arms to your legs (or try to, keeping both your legs and arms as straight as you can), and then go back to making like a V shape with your body (don't go ALL the way back down to the ground), and then make your hands touch your legs again in the air.

I know I mentioned basically ab workouts, but I hope this helps somewhat! Sorry I'm not very clear, lol. Good luck! <3

The plank (refered to as the bridge here) is a really good exercise to do in bed. If it doesn't necisariy have to be on the bed you can do wall sits. What you do is you lean up against a wall and lower yourself to the point where its as if your pretend sitting on an invisible chair. Hold for as long as you can. I sometimes end up shaking if I do it for long enough, but that happens to me with the bridge as well..
Good luck!
