OK, I'd just like to ask if anyone else gets this or if its just me. Everyday as the evening approaches my head and limbs start to feel very hot and my face turns bright red and stays that way for the rest of the night. Its like a hot flush of some sort but I'm too young to be menopausal and I don't have rosacea. I drink lots of water so its not dehydration either. Has anyone any idea what this might be? I've been having this for the last month or so and it happens during the evening and never earlier. My parents keep asking me what I've been doing to my face and I haven't changed anything in my skincare routine etc. Any suggestions as to what this might be would be very much appreciated! Thanks.

Wow that's strange. But that's a common symptom in someone who is experience diabetic ketoacidosis. You need to get to a doc and ask for an A1C blood test and make sure you tell him about the flushing. But if it is actual DKA then you ought to be having other symptoms too, like excessive thirst, dizziness, etc. If you're anoretic and never eat carbs, you can have that symptom too.

Well I don't have the thirst or dizziness but I do have migraines every now and again and shaky hands. You may be right about the carbs though; I try to eat them in small doses at midday, like a teaspoon of peanut butter or a small handful of nuts, but I otherwise try to stay away from them altogether unless I'm feeling really shaky. I'll look into the DKA idea as well though as I've never heard of it mentioned before. Thanks mate! :)
