Nosebleeds

During and after I purge sometimes I get nosebleeds (a couple of times it would be the day after... Before I started purging everyday). I never ever used to get them (before I had any eating disorder), and now I get them at least 2 or 3 times a month. I haven't found out a lot about this on the internet in regards to bulimia, so I was wondering, would this be caused by something else? Or is it probably having to do with the purging? Anyone else have anything like this happen to them?

I don't get them but when you throw up, you can break blood vessels in your nose. It's just the pressure going to your face. It's also possible to break one in your eye which is a real pain because it's so noticeable and it takes a bit to get better. I don't think it actually hurts you but it probably means you're throwing up too forcefully.

Yeah, I knew about breaking blood vessels in and around the eyes, but I didn't know if that could happen in my nose or not and if it did I didn't know if it would bleed or just swell.
