I was vegan for a while and stopped. I didn't eat meat, I just started eating dairy again. But the idea of eating dairy disgusts me now.

I like feeling a little hungry. It makes me feel strong and disciplined.

I don't know what the tipping point was for me but I just became disgusted with myself. I can't talk about it to other people because they all say I'm skinny and I don't need to lose weight. That's the main reason I signed up here, so I could have support. Not a single person I know is supportive of me wanting to lose as much weight as I want to.

So I'm giving myself a diet goal. My first goal is to eat only raw fruits and drink only water. Then I would like to reduce my caloric intake to 1000cal/day. That may sound like a lot to some people here, because I love pro ana sites and I see all sort of 500cal/day and less goals. But at the height and weight I'm at right now (5'11/170lbs - can you believe people tell me I don't need to lose weight??) with a sedentary lifestyle to maintain my weight is 1900+ cal and to lose weight 1500 cal. I work out everyday but I use sedentary with calculators to overcompensate. I use this calculator: To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. So here's another page I went to for BMI: To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
I found another page with a chart that illustrates if your BMI is normal/underweight/anorexic. I don't want to be anorexic I just want to be underweight. So for now my goal is to lose 40 pounds.

That's about it for now. XD

Welcome.

I eat around 1000 cal and burn a lot with exercise. It works better for me. I used to be vegan, and was vegetarian longer. Currently a meat eater out of sheer laziness with meal prep. However, I get migraines much more with the more animal products I consume so I am considering going back to vegetarianism.

The weird thing is that being vegetarian is more expensive than being a meat eater. And being vegan is even more expensive. You'd think it would be the other way around.

Dairy does cause bloating in the abdomen. I talked to a girl on a fitness forum who competes in body building and she said she always cuts dairy out before a competition because of that.

I haven't cut down to all raw fruits just yet. It was my original intention, but after eating so much dairy I'm having to cut down slowly. Well, I've cold turkeyed out of the dairy but each day I allow myself a few whole wheat crackers and maybe bread. Trying to just eat fruit put my body in mild shock so it gave me slight but consistent headaches.

Meal prep is a big thing, especially with a vegan diet. That's part of the reason I got lazy with it as well.

Oh, and I do drink coffee, but I've always taken my coffee black. It gives me energy and it kind of suppresses my appetite.

What kind of workouts do you do? Right now I'm doing different dvds with my bf. I live in a two story so I'm thinking about running up and down the stairs a couple of times a day.

I jog and lift weights. I'm currently jogging 3 miles 2-3 times a week and then filling in 2-3 days with weight training or other activities.

I am slowly removing things from my diet again that are causing my migraines. It just happens that many of the foods are animal based.

I'm now 163lbs I was 165lbs yesterday. So my new bmi is 23.6 which is considered a normal range. So my new maintenance caloric intake is 1865. Whoot!
