I mentioned in my intro that I am rather overweight. This sucks bad, but to make things worse I have to get weighed. I am in school and for school I have to be weighed. I am so big and these people are going to continuously weigh me and I feel so sick about it. If you were we, what would you do? Its so embarrassing to be this big. I have been thinking on what I could do. A big part of me wants to shrink before everyone's eyes. I just am lost on where to start. I used to be so small. What would you suggest? I could do 2468, ABC, x amount of calories....Its like I'm startin all over. What would you do?:eek:

Start by eating healthy, high protein, low fat, low simple carb diet and exercising a half hour a day or so.

Lose weight slow and steady so that it will stay off.

Thanx much! I'm not sure if I know how to eat healthy. See its not like I don't still know how to starve and do things the screwed up way. I just get so frustrated with it all. My post was mainly just me being desperate. I want to lose this weight overnight...and that won't happen. Its just the healthy way is slow and painful....but then I know that if I don't eat and what not I will just gain the weight back and faster.....I lived that. My head is just all messed up right now. Its like I search for someone to tell me its ok to starve myself or purge everything I even think about eating.
I appreciate your reply. I'm going to try to eat healthy like you said, only I can't eat a lot of cals consciously. I will freak out. I see others trying 2468...maybe I"ll give that a go.

Eating healthy, like properly healthy, takes a lot of work and a lot of reasearch. Plus, diets work differently for everyone. I found that starting my day off not with carbs and fruit but protein and fruit really helps to get me going and my energy up. Then about thirty minutes later I'll have an orange. which is a lot for me to eat frankly. I kind of find that I have to force myself because I'm never that hungry until the evening. But start eating more fruits, vegetables, protein, and if you're not too sensitive to carbs (which is usually one of the reasons people gain weight so quickly is a carb sensitivity or an intolerance (or unhealthy eating habits)) try doing whole grains, but not a lot. And really try to eat a lot of vegetables only because you'll never eat as many as you need if you aim for proper servings because they taste awful.
Also, I find that I don't really like to eat meals but small amounts of a fruit or vegetable if I'm hungry because I get full fast. Don't intentionally starve yourself or at least try not to but also eat slowly and don't wait until you are starving to eat. You are more likely to eat fatty foods that way.
Anyway, this reply is getting long and if you do try any of these I hope they work for you. I wish you all the luck in the world because I've had to do the weighing thing and Gym and I always get so depressed when I'm near a scale.
