I need some serious help. I've been trying to lose weight for almost 2 years. For the most part of those 2 years I have just been exercising everyday and trying to eat healthy. Absolutely nothing happened. Then it finally dawned on me that I need to stop eating or eat less. So about a year and a half ago I stopped eating (only a little bit though, I still ate just not as much.) I lost 30 pounds. Now I REALLY want to lose 20 more pounds. I've completely stopped eating for weeks and somehow I NEED to eat. I don't eat much but I still eat. I've been trying to throw up using a toothbrush and it doesn't work too good for me, I always throw up, but only a little bit. I need some tips on throwing up more. Please help.

The 2 fingers down throat helps for me
just keep sliding them to the back of ur throat at first spit up will come up but when that happens i find its best to keep more pressure in ur throat like keep ur fingers back there if that makes sense lol. i use to do it with one but i think my body got use to the one finger thing and now i have to use two. Youch i use to get cuts in my mouth from using spoons lol
Any whoo i hope this helps some

I have some tips for you, these are all things i do, i'll try to be specific because I know things like these are hard to find.
After i eat/binge (when i know im going to purge), i drink at least 2 big glasses of water right after i eat.
I wait five- ten minutes, then because i live with my parents, i get that same big cup that i drank from and i purge in it. i find this is helpful because i can see how much came up plus you also dont get that splashing sound from purging into the toilet. After you're done purging into the cup you just dump it in the toilet. Sometimes i fill up the cup twice so you may have to dump it a couple times. When i started to purge, i used two fingers and i followed them down the back of my tongue, as far as i could, and wiggled them up and down. When you do this, not all of your food will come up in one try. You will have to do it about 5+ times. I first started to purge in the shower, into the cup, because its messy when you start, but then you will get quieter and less messy.
Good luck girl, let me know if this was helpful at all.
I'm new here, but i'd like to help if i can.
love,

i had tried to make myself sick in the past usin a toothbrush and it didnt work but when i got to the stage where i was desperate to make myself sick i looked up how to do it and managed to do it first time!before i do it i drink a glass of water really quickly then i get 2 fingers and stick them down my throat and massage the top of my throat...usually gag like twice and then am sick! iv found if u drink water before, more comes up from your stomach...
hope this helps

Thanks guys. I don't know why but I still am not able to throw up. I threw up like 2 times using a toothbrush, then that didn't work after awhile so I started using my fingers.. I haven't been able to throw up doing that, but I keep trying. I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong.. I have tried all the things you guys said to do.

Please don't try too hard or you might seriously hurt yourself! I think some people find it easier to make themselves sick than others. I have read posts on here from people who only have to bend over, pretty much; others find it much harder.
It depends a lot on what you have eaten, and probably other factors too. You say you are eating much less - well, personally I can't make myself sick unless I have over-eaten. It's like the sensation of fullness and overindulgence makes my body want to purge.
If you imagine your stomach as a balloon, and gagging makes it contract slightly, then the effect, if it's full, will be to squeeze out some food. But if it's not full, then there will be little or no effect. (That's completely unscientific and unsubstantiated: just a thought!)

i find if you drink heaps of water then before you go to make your self sick bend over, this way all the water and food heads towards your mouth wait a fw minutes then try and make your self spew with your fingers or tooth brush. also remember to breather inbetween moving your fingers or toothbrush.
i find that when i do that it works pretty good.
for me when i use my fingers a spew heaps more out, but when i use a tooth brush it comes out but i have to keep using it heaps of times. same result in the end but a little time consuming.
Goodluck:)

I've been trying to make myself throw up sometimes too. I don't have a good gag reflex so it's very hard for me.
Next time I try, I'll try drinking lots of water and see if that works. Thanks for the tips guys

I got so addicted to throwing up my mom noticed - and then you get to the hard part - covering it all up. Have to be careful cause you don't wanna get supervised as I am. Those tips up there are in fact those who are the most helpful. I'm lucky 'cause sometimes I can throw up a bit without using fingers or bending over cause I've been working up my muscles in the throat so I can throw up a little by forcing my body to make it come up again. It's quite helpful at times...

I can sometimes make myself throw up a little without using anything. It's hard at first but it gets easyer lol

That makes sense, It might be because when I binge its usually not much. I hardly eat, but even if I eat like 5 crackers or a piece of toast I try to throw up.

I would think it would be hard to if you hardly eat anything. Well, I have a little bit from eating some crackers.
I should try to eat just toast or crackers from now on lol

two other good tricks, are to-
1- when you are about to make yourself sick, stand up, bend at the waist, but keep your legs straight, and stay in this position while you are purging because then gravity will help the sick come out.
2- When you gag yourself, push out like you would if you were burping.
Those two are important tips that helped me when i first started to purge.
Will you let me know if those worked for you?
Best of luck!
