View Full Version : Helping a Coworker?

Hi,

I have a coworker who I fear may be bulimic. I have only been talking to her at work lately, so I'm not her closest friend by any means. I'm wondering if there is anything I could do for her? I know that it is tough enough for a loved one, or close friend, to help someone with an ED, so I'm at a loss? Besides, it's just a feeling I have due to circumstantial evidence. She has never admitted to having any type of ED. Just a feeling I can't shake.

Any advice would be appreciated,

Shirley

maybe get to know her a bit better first, but you should definatly do something

i once feared for my friend and i wrote her a letter, and gave her a card to my counselor, and some facts of what can happen.
If she knows the horrors, it may scare her...but if ED has sunken in too deep, side effects won't matter and she'll continue.
It might even be best to somehow contact her parents (if she's young) or someone else close to her.

But mainly just let her know you're there for her. Give her any advice you can if you are a sufferer yourself and maybe she can find comfort in knowing she's not alone.
