Recovering/struggling here and I don't know what's going on with my digestive track.
I don't eat I don't go
I eat I don't go
I use laxitives (prescribed by doctor) and it makes it really soft but I DON'T GO!!
Going to the bathroom (you know what I mean) is one of the only things that makes me feel good about myself sometimes and I can't seem to go!
I recently started binging, to get better but oh god! The weight gain AND constipation too
Now I've substituted my night-time binge/purge with chewing and spitting until I can finally get rid of the night-time weird eating all together...
Have I ruined my digestive track?
Help pleeease! This is unbearable!!

Heya Special P :)
This kinda happened to me too and it may be caused by the lack of fibre, try buying some fibre sachets like, "Fybogel" you just add it to water and drink it once or twice a day.
I think they're available from most pharmacys and quite cheap, they worked for me so hopefully they'll work for yew too :D
Well hope this helped a little :)

Have you abused laxatives in the past? If so, the GI tract may be so used to them that it can't function normally without them.
Try drinking aloe juice (Aloe Life Cherry is my favorite). It does have some calories in it but will help the body naturally start to move things through. I have had constipation before that was actually associated with thyroid issues. I went to a homeophatic nutritionist and once the natural supplement started working, I didn't have trouble with constipation anymore.

Thanks so much! I have tried the fibre thing, but that hasn't really worked...I think I'll talk to my mom about the aloe juice...does it taste bad though?

When you binge/purge/abuse laxatives/restrict/fast/etc. your digestive system gets confused by the weird amounts of food and/or lack of food. When you start eating normally/binging your digestive system becomes even more confused...
It sounds like you may be impacted (your digestive system is just holding everything in your intestines-sounds gross, I know), but that happens to a lot of people, especially early on in the recovery process...
You might want to try an over the counter suppository laxative and see if that gets your system moving?
You're right, constipation sucks!
