Long story short, I'm going to America tomorrow, I bought some diet pills and packed them into my bag. My parents cannot find out. The bag I'm taking is gonna be a carry-on, and I really don't want it to be searched or anything... So if I have diet pills in there, would they like show up on a scanner and would the airport people like, search my bag then? I've been reading websites about it, but they don't mention pills at all. Does anyone here know? Please help or even just guess... :P

i think you should be fine, as long as theyre legal for someone of your age...since theyre kind of like vitamins...in case they do decide to do a random search though you might want to put them in a vitamins bottle

you wont get intp trouble as long as they are legal, but if something that looks like pills comes up on their x-ray machine thingies then airport security is a lot more likely to search your bags. and you may not want that to happen while your family is standing next to you

Hmm America's a bit fussy when it comes to their medicines, alot stricter to the UK. Usually have to declare medicines, i've gotten away without doing it though. Are you not taking hold luggage that you can put them in (or can you put them in sombody elses)? Can put them in there with no problems. If it's a diet pill that is a stimulant then they might have a problem with it, all you have to do is check what the main ingredient(s) are and see if there are restrictions about taking them into America. Should be fine but better to be safe than sorry! :)

They are in vitamin bottles, and I have bottles of actual vitamins in with them too. I'm just being a bit paranoid, because if my parents see the "vitamins" they might ask when/where I got them, (I got them today and no-one knows) and if the airport people open the bottles, then I'd be screwed, because one has white pills mixed in with orange pills, so it would be obvious that some of the things in the bottle weren't meant to be there, and then I'd have to explain what they were and what I did, and then I'd get in unimaginable trouble. :-/ Why do I get myself into these stupid situations...?

It's better to make sure they're in the original packaging. I've taken them on a plane before a long with Ritalin that wasn't mine. They gave me more problems over the diet pills because they weren't labeled correctly.
