Have the foods that you're eating changed?
Or the amount of liquid you consume while/after eating changed?

Your throat has probably just become desensitized... try upping the amount of water you drink, drink a glass of warm water right before you throw up (I find if I boil the kettle and then pour out a mug of boiling water at the start of my binge, it's still hot but drinkable by the time I finish), eat lots of easy to purge foods... also standing up makes it easier to force the food out than kneeling down and hunching over the toilet bowl... I find I always have to practically put my entire fist down my throat, maybe a toothbrush would help? Also, grab your throat just underneath your adam's apple like you're choking yourself and heave. I hope all of this helps, I know how frustrating and upsetting it is when you can't get the food back up out of your system!

From reading posts here it sounds like different people's bodies work quite differently. For me, it has a lot to do with how frequently I do it - just taking a couple of days off (if you can) might help 'reset' your gag reflex - as well as being a healthy thing to do :)
It's horrible though isn't it, you feel such a failure when you can't get it all up. I don't know if you have tried doing it at different times after eating? I prefer to purge within about 15 minutes of eating, but sometimes if you wait an hour I find it comes out easier.

i personally can not purge with water. i have to drink soda. its bubbly and makes it eaiser to come up. also try tea.
