Imagine that one day you're walking down the street, and a policeman drives up to you and tells you that you're under arrest for the crime of murder. You know that the worst thing you've ever done is stealing a pack of gum so you go with the officer to sort out the accusation.
A few weeks later you're in prison, sentenced to 60 years. Everyday you're in prison you're kept in a 10 by 6 foot cell 23 and a half hours a day, for 20+ years. You have nothing but a cot, a toilet, and 3 gray walls and bars. Friends and relatives learn to go on with their lives without you. Older loved ones pass away without being able to say goodbye to you. Little brothers and sisters become adults in your absence. Then you are released once new evidence comes forwards that exonerates you, and you are simply expected to resume your normal life with no help. You're now in your 40's, never had a chance to live your youth in freedom. Whatever problems you thought you had before being imprisoned, are now the days you refer to as "the good times." This happens every day to real people. DNA evidence very often now is exonerating hundreds of wrongfully imprisoned men and women who've spent their lives in a cell.
But at that time, you didn't think they were very good times, did you? We seem allow small problems affect us the way only a huge problem should. Even moderately severe problems like an ED, should not be allowed to tear us away from the little pleasures and good things we often take for granted. Life will never be perfect. Perfection is unattainable. Your problems are important, but not important enough to forever deny you happiness. Let's forget about the way we look or the things we want for just right now and just enjoy the moment.
