Hiiiii.
So, I've noticed the types of low calorie foods I eat when I'm hungry but don't want to get something major, so that I don't start bingeing, and they're so weird.
Right now I'm having celery dipped in mustard.. I don't like regular celery but the mustard is giving it a flavor I can stand, plus that's still no calories really.
& One of my favorites, a slice of 35 calorie oatmeal bread with lemon pepper on top.
It tastes just like eating lemon pepper fish to me (which I love). But I don't get the calories for it.
What do you guys eat to try to keep yourself from bingeing?
Or do you just try not to eat at all?

I was battling this last night. I ate a handfull of grapes but I peeled the skin off each one with my teeth first so it took super long to eat. That usually works for a little while because they are kind of sweet. Usually I have to stay away from all food or I'll just keep saying oh a few more will be okay...and we all know where that leads :-(
A spoonfull of coffee grounds.
usually takes away my will to binge. Especially since I chase it with tons of water to get rid of the horrid taste.
Or a swig of vinegar/pure lemon juice. Anything that tastes horrible and makes you drink alot of water.
I also drink ALOT of green tea and black coffee especially on hot days. If i make myself really warm I dont feel like eating anything. ~

Crackers with Mustard on. 35 cals a Cracker and nothing for the Mustard as long as I don't go mental and eat like 5gs of the stuff. Big Beef steak tomatoes that I can crunch into like apples.

You could also make it a task for you to find some good distractions that help you fight the urge to binge. Make a list of the best ones that work for you.
Here's some that help people: reading, music (you could even dance along in your bedroom), puzzles, knitting, jigsaws, art (crafts or drawing), phone calls (you can't stuff your face very easily while talking), something that de-stresses you, having a bath/shower, shopping, joining a club, going in the garden (gardening/making snowmen), photography, tidying, sorting out computer files/real files/cupboards, playing with toys like you were a kid again, sleeping/napping, making cards for friends or family, getting a job, chewing gum, eating high protein and fibre meals, lots of water, writing down all your mobile phone numbers in case you lose it, cycling, going for a walk, singing, playing an instrument
some of these i just made up :) but you could try anything! never give up. sometimes we will binge, but the more we can stop it, the better we will get at it.
and you're meant to learn how to deal with triggers, or avoid them. my family is a trigger though and i cant avoid them. never give up! xxxx
i love you!
Reading this over and over... I think I feel a binge coming on.

Lately i've been a bit obsessed with eating cucumber with a teeny bit of low fat cheese or a bit of ham in the middle.
I dip all my veggies in mustard. I love it and it has virtually no calories ~

Gosh, I never even considered that. I'll have to try that out :) Usually I'll try plain salad (i.e. just lettuce leaves) with some really low-cal dressing, like vingegar or mustard. Lately the binge monster has been visiting me, though. I seem to always tell myself, "a few won't hurt" (and yup, like someone else said... we all know where that leads).

I like eating Nori strips. There are like five strips in a packet and each pack only has 5 cals. It also has a very strong flavor. Plus it's really fun to eat because of it's weird texture. :D

I really felt like binging tonight, but I'm proud of myself as I restrained! I had one slice of bread and a cupful of broth. I'm sipping on the broth right now ... it's all warm and salty, so it really puts me off eating any high-cal sweet that I was craving ...

If I feel as though a binge is about top happen, I try to eat something without a strong taste, like plan celery or cucumbers with nothing on them. I find it helps to not trigger more eating for some reason.

HA :D It's great! Like a cucumber sandwich! I get my veg and my flavour, usually stops me going nuts as well because ham or low fat cheese is full of flavour!

i love pickles...they are super low cal as well, and have very little fat content. they also stop me from purging sometimes because the high content of vinegar hurts me a lot when it comes back up
