Does anyone else get seriously upset, annoyed and stuborn when their boyfriend talks about how good other women are at things?
I do.
My boyfriend is always going on about his friends wife who does "the best baking". He's actually said that I can bake for him but "don't worry, I don't expect it to be as good as Mandys". It atually saddens me so much :(.
And I can bake! I just darent do it because it just wont compare to hers :( I would love to bake for him all the time [the main reason I don't is because he expects me to eat some of it when I do] but now I just can't...
We're going away for his birthday and I was going to make all his favourite things AND a special cake but now he's just text me and she's told him that she'll bake him a birthday cake! I could actually cry, its crazy how tiny things upset me so much :S.

Would/does this affect anyone else or is it me just being a sensitive twat haha?
I think its also something to do with him being MINE, it's like my job to cook for him/do things for him...

Any response at all would be appriciated, just need some reasurance :)

Aww, I don't think your weird. It's normal to be a little upset if your boyfriend is talking about another person in such a way. Why don't you tell him that it bothers you? I'm sure he isn't doing it to upset you!

I wouldn't notice it simply because I never bake.

But, on other things, I would probably notice and it would bug me. But then again, I'm neurotic. So yeah.

Thanks for the response guys :)

And Joel, I have told him before and he just thinks I'm stupid for feeling this way :S. I said infront of his workmates that I'm not baking for him now he's got her to do it and they all picked on him for it cos I wasnt going to bake for him...
So I baked for him out of pity haha
