yup- came pretty close to the edge there...sodium levels lower than where brainstem herniation occurs. always be careful with electrolytes. Among the brain swelling, coma, being lucky to be temping in a dctor office and not alone or driving, there was also the tongue so sore i couldnt talk, really painful tensed muscles, haircut from having to cut out the gum, one doc referring to me as obese 3 times (triggered me back into losing), my dad getting on me abut apparently *losing my modesty* when thrashing about. ICU fr a week, $$$$$, most f what I remember. The preceding confusion is really frightening. I found sugar-free tang sport a few weeks ago. I always keep pickles, banana/tomato/etc around.

Hey just saw this.

I'm epileptic and I've had seizures my entire life. Even though they are common for me they still freak me out when they happen.

My electrolytes are always on the low side so I know how that goes. Powerade Zero is a good one to drink. It literal is zero calories. It taste a little funky but it will help. If you are ok with about 10-20 calories Gatorade G2 is a good option too.

PM me if you want any seizure aftercare advice a few things can help get you better.

I've had two seizures, and they were hands down the most terrifying experiences of my entire life. Mia made my electrolytes quite low, I had taken Tylenol 3's for my period cramps at the time (which I have a regular prescription for), and then made the error of smoking pot. Long story short I was pretty much paralyzed for 2 minutes, I couldn't speak, but was able to hear everything around me. It was absolutely haunting, I was convinced I was going to die. Obviously I learned my lesson about purging..Not.

Feel better!

Best,

-L

I was actually looking for this thread a minute ago.

I had a seizure today. Went and walked around a 100+ degree amusement part with only having half a cup of coffee and two slice of raisin toast that i had purged. Made it walking around for about three hours and then bam lights out. Five minutes later it happened again.

But like i said i am epileptic but i haven't had a seizure since i was 20. So needless to say that now my weight is gettting lower i will have to be mroe careful.

Yeah I had seizure on Christmas Eve 2009. I woke up in an ambulance and apparently I had really low potassium and blood sugar levels.
About one minute before it happened I was driving 70 miles an hour on a busy dual carriageway - ironically I was driving to the landfill site to get rid of all my binge-related rubbish and hide the evidence. The last thing I remember was getting out of my car.
It sucks because I had to spend Christmas day in hospital and surrender my driving licence, and I'm still not allowed to have it back. Now my doctor prescribes me potassium supplements - I take 4 a day, which kind of takes away my incentive to stop the b/ps, as I know my electrolytes will be fine.

I'd like to know if I had a seizure....

What happened was, we went to home affairs in December (summer here is SA) to renew my driver's license, and as we were queing I started feeling really dizzy and faint, luckely my husband was there, and as there was no where to sit down, I figured I'll lean against him until I feel better. The enxt thing I know I have water in my face, and my husband freaking out, my ears were ringing, and my vision was blurred, so they grabbed my husband and papers to sort out my things, and put me on a chair to feel better, problem is it took me about ten minutes to be able to move my hands and feet, all I could feel was pins and needles and I'm looking at my fingers, wanting to will them to move, but it just wouldn't work.

Later in the car, my husband told me that when I was out I was moaning and making funny sounds in the back if my throat.... (Ironic, as the happiest and most at peace I had ever felt was the couple of seconds that I was out - just felt like falling asleep and dreaming....)

Was that a seizure? ..

(Oh, and I had a half a glass of water, and 12g of wholewheat Pronutro = 40 cals.... for the day, but it was real early, probably before 11:00 am...)

if you remember all that, then I''d imagine it was more likely fainting. There are possibilities of sometimes a faint inducing a kind of seizure, but as far as grand mal/ tonic-clonic seizure, doesnt sound like it.
