View Full Version : Are you addicted to your workout??

Man, so I was really REALLY busy for the last two days, and skipped my daily 1 hour workout on my trainer and all day today I felt sooo miserable, like really sad and hopeless and antsy, and craving fattening foods with lots of oils and sugars in them, just for the food-high. It's so not LIKE me to be like that! I was nearly in tears for no reason! And then I remember I hadn't exercised in almost three days so I hopped on my machine the first chance I got and now I feel so much better!
Do you guys get a high from exercise, and does your mood crash if you can't work out?

if i cant workout, i binge.
i need my workouts to feel accomplished, or if its impossible to workout that day, atleast to get in a good amount of walking and 100-200crunches.

yessss soooo addicted to that feeling!!
if i skip my workout or dont finish it i get really anxious and low and binge.
i can never exercise after binge/purging
exercise makes me feel so high...i always used to get bored after about 40 mins on cross trainer the other day i went for 2 hrs and wasnt bored at all just enjoying it and thinking with every hour im loosing more and more kcals : ) def get such a high from exercise, i was so down today after bp and not exercising im getting on it 2moro!! XX

Im the exact same way! If I dont workout or don't workout WELL enough for my liking,
I feel like complete shit for the rest of the day and it haunts me and totally ruins my mood and progress.
I basically feel like I failed .
Plus I LOVEE working out .
Im so addicted !
Id have nothing without my exercise and my gym . <3

If i don't do a little workout each day i eat more and tend to snap at people.
I like it when i exercise until my muscles hurt. It's not that good for you, but i get some sort of satisfaction from it that i can't describe.

You know, I never thought about it before, but like some of the others said, I think I actually binge if I skip a workout at times. =|
I'm really paranoid about missing a day. I have a weird system going with exercise right now, but it seems to be working okay. I missed two days on the weekend though, and I got really upset. Managed to forgive myself though, since I was having fun with a few friends during that time. I kicked my ass when I got home though, lol. xD

Heck yes! This is kinda like me and my addiction to workout. Not exactly with running, but if I don't feel tired after I ran I don't feel like I ran enough. When I'm swimming I try and swim for at least an hour, and if my arms or legs don't feel sore after that I tend to swim longer.
Haha kinda like in karate when we do tons of blocking we all get bruises, and if I don't get a bruise I feel like I didn't do anything and I feel sad (weird,..).
Tomorrow I can't run because I'm already leaving the house @ 4:30...so I guess I'm not eating so I feel like I'm doing something.
I hate it when I don't excersize and feel so low I binge. Not. Cool. Least I'm not hte only one. I thought I was just a fail like that...

Can't do martial arts anymore :( But when i ache is when i've decided i've done the right amount, otherwise it's not enough and i need to do more.
Sounds weird but i feel if i can do more than i should. Usually takes up ages, but i do feel happier when i realise i can do so many more jumping jacks or something.

I do say find the motivation. Skipping workouts is counter-productive to your goal. The only one who controls whether or not you finish a workout is yourself. It is all in your head. Simply fight through it , use distraction like music, and focus on the goal and benefits. If you want to make a difference in your body, you can not hold back and you can not skip out.
