Does anyone else write songs or poems?

Just wondering... I write songs, I've written 9 of them now. :) So does anyone else?

I may write the occaisional poem but I've never written a song.

I write a LOT of poetry and some prose, (on top of regular plain old journaling)
I also compose on the piano a little...
I'm thinking of putting one of my poems to music, though. Would be nice :)

I can't quite write songs but I can write poetry (Yeah, I know it's kind of the same, but not really..). I write a lot of short stories and longer stuff (whcih I'm ashamed to admit doesn't always get finished).
I'm jealous of you guys who can write songs and compose a bit on the piano, I think it's cool

Yeah I've written like 7 or 8 songs and 2 poems....my songs are only different from my poems because they're arranged differently and have a tune, but it doesn't have actual music. Thing is, those songs were written back when....wel...before everything. When I was even more boy crazy than I am now, and I cried over every little thing and thought I was strong. As for the poems, they're more emo-y i guess? More like songs I was too lazy to finish lol

I'm also thinking of learning the ukulele (because it's easier than learning guitar haha and it's also a really neat instrument and super portable) so I can start doing some more serious songwriting.
