I'm with you on this one Ellenor, have been trying to beat the binging for about 2 weeks now. I dont want to go back to restricting but I figure if it's necessary for a little while just to beat binging then that's fine. It's all about taking it slowly and not asking too much of yourself to start with. Good luck with your recovery! Will be hoping it goes well. Here for support etc as I am trying to do the same thing. x

Thank you guys :)
It's a nice feeling at the time, but when you wake up a few pounds heavier and you're trying to loose weight. It's completely pointless?! before this ED I didn't ev en eat t his much and I was an OBEASE kid.

Haha, you summed up my thoughts on bingeing perfectly!! I was always a fattie lol, always had an overweight bmi but never really overate that much, I was just unlucky and drank too much alcohol and had too many takeaways etc, but I never BINGED. Then I went on a diet because some medication made me unhealthy overweight rather than just "could lose a few pounds" overweight, and it gradually became an ED, and I lost 3 stone over 4 months....once I was the weight I wanted to be, I couldnt get out of it, it had become all about control and anxiety and obsession and I couldt eat normally anymore. So I started binging and oh my god, the amount of food I can shovel in me now is actually grotesque. And I'm at the low end of normal BMI. It's like I've completely lost the ability to eat like a normal person! It started off as restrict restrict restrict for nearly 2 years and then all of a sudden something switched and i'm now restrict BINGE restrict and repeat and my weight goes up/down at a scary rate.
Sorry, you didnt ask for my life story there haha, I got carried away.
Good luck with it Ellenor, we can do it for sure! No more binging for us!
