Scared to get help

I'm not sure what to do or where to go,
I know I need to go to my doctor to get a referral for a therapist
however, I'm not sure if I should ask to go to a eating disorder clinic or what.

Even though I'm currently at a healthy weight my thoughts alone could destroy every part of me
as well as the purging and restricting.
-I was previously underweight-
I really want to be happy and out of this b.s.

I might sound like an idiot but I have no idea how I should approach this issue,
I'm terrified.

Well first off. Good that u want to get help, and can accept that u might not be able to get rid of this on ur own. Dont know what country ur from and how old u are. But maybe u can try finding a website out eating disorders specifically. In my country we have some dutch websites with connections to help services, who can direct u and help u find ur way around. They probably have phone numbers u can call aswell. But i would think it would be nicer to talk to people that actually know some about it, know how it feels, rather then just a random doctor bookwurm :P. But u should probably have them in ur country aswell.

Yeah, I know I can't get rid of it on my own.
I tried last year and was fine for about a year but then relapsed and got horrible again.
I know even with help it's trial and error but at least with someone there I will get tips on how to deal with it instead of self destructing.

Yeah, I live in Canada so I'm going to look on the net.

good luck and congratulations!! Wanting help is a huge step and will take you into recovery and a better life. Have you tried talking to your medical doctor? or is there a community mental health office that could offer you a referral? there is help out there, I search theweb too, there are some great clinics in Canada. If you go to Gurze books or bulimia.com there are some references there. best of luck, you can do it!!!!!!! xoox Jeanne
