I've heard that if you swish your mouth out with water after purging and then brush your teeth a little later helps. But I'm not sure about that.

my teeth have suffered u cant tell they still look good but i just had a root canal, and u can bet urself it was caused form the acid decaying the tooth. u should get toothpaste that protects enamel. enamel is what protects your teeth and when u throw up the acids wipe away off ur teeth, look for the those multi purpose toothpastes. also another then take ur toothbrush with tooth paste and swish it in a lil cup of water and try adn rinse ur mouth with that its the brushing right after all that acid is brought up that really wipes the enamel, swishing with it will get rid of some of the acid without brushing ur teeth wiping enamel off.

I don't really get that teeth problem. Try mouthwash, maybe? I dunno, the vomit never touches my teeth. Just cover the lower teeth with your tongue, and that problem should be fixed. It doesn't touch MY teeth, anyway.

I use mouthwash afterwards. apparently its supposed to neutralise the acidity :\ and then brush my teeth a little later on.

i saw on a website by a dentist that the way to prevent the acid from decaying your teeth (as fast) is to swish with baking soda. DO NOT BRUSH. this only speeds up the process of wearing away the enamel.
Also, your dentist should be able to provide you with an enamel strenghthening toothpaste. this is the type they give to you if you do dental whitening.
lastly, get a mouthwash that has fluoride in it and use it in the morning and at night. DONT use regular mouthwash since it has an acidic base to it.
hope this helps.

I always chewed up a Tums or Rolaid and swished that around my mouth with a mouthful of water.
