I know that's it's difficult to find a variety of foods which are meat-free which are low-carb, so... any pointers?

And by vegetarian I do mean vegetarian, not pescetarian, so nobody recommend fish XD

Thanks in advance

Do you mean is it possible to eat so little carbs that this happens? If that's what you mean, then I'm sure surviving off of vegetables would do it. Sauteed or baked eggplant, soups, etc.

That's kind of the point of her post I believe. Eating nearly pure carbs (which vegetables are primarily) makes it really hard to get into ketosis but it is possible. I did Atkins as a vegetarian and was able to get into ketosis by eating eggs and cheese more than I would have otherwise but I was lacto-ovo and I did eventually start eating more animal products (after 8 years of being veg and 3 of being vegan) because it got too difficult to eat correctly on it. I'm now a pescatarian so I can get my protein from fish but it's still hard to stay in ketosis this way. I consume too many vegetables almost no dairy and have a hard time staying below 50g of carbs, whereas when I did it eating meat, I could totally stay below 20g with no problem.

So yeah, it's possible but it's hard as hell. Also, watch the soy, I overdid it on the soy and it fucked up my hormones badly.
