Asking for more Cart Shifts?

Okay as a bagger you are usually expected to do 1 hr cart shift (grabbing all the carts in the lot and placing them inside) rather than bagging during a short shift and 2 hrs during a long shift....

I figure, I can ask for 3 cart hrs in a long day (8 hrs), and 2 hrs in a short day (4 hrs). For the excercise benefit..... but everyone hates doing it, so I put myself at risk to looking like a complete idiot asking for it. It's the hardest job of all lol basically, but since now I want to lose weight might as well get my fitness done while getting paid for it? aight'

Do you think it's worth the risk of looking like an idiot?
The managers do not care (other than thinking I look stupid), and the other baggers would probably be grateful and thinking I am stupid.

i don't think it matters if everybody thinks you're stupid, because you're actually being smart and healthy by exercising. as long as you don't have to stand outside in the rain or anything (you don't want to get sick!) than i'd say go for it. your managers may actually like that you're volunteering for the hard job and think better of you or that you're a harder worker. good luck! xo
