This is kinda gross but do any of you get really bloody gums when you've been restricting a lot/fasting for a little bit? Cuz I know I do, for some reason if I restrict a lot or if I fast for a day or two, when I brush my teeth my gums bleed really badly. It doesn't hurt much, they just bleed a lot. Anyone know why this happens/how can I fix it?

Dunno. THe only time I had bleeding gums was when I was pregnnat. I think it's a hormone thing. But maybe just try brushing softer? More than half the population brushes too hard.
Sorry I'm not much help.

Depends,
If you don't floss enough your gums become inflamed which causes em to bleed.
Also use a softer tooth brush,
Just make sure you take good care of your teeth.

I work in the dental field, so I know a little bit.

Saliva is important because it helps bacteria and residual food from sticking to the teeth/gums. When you fast, you don't salivate as much, so that bacteria just stays put. Bacteria causes inflammation thus resulting in bleeding gums. That's why it's important to brush more often if you fast or swish with water several times a day.

Thanks so much for the advice everyone <3
I know I don't floss enough and I tend to brush very forcefully so I'll try to fix those and do the swish with water thing.
