So I'm going to this party on Saturday and the theme is the 80's. I don't know what to wear. I looked at pics on Google and still am confused as to what people wore back then. Any ideas?

If you're going with a mini skirt, a big sweater or loose top was popular back in the day.
You could also go all body-con like Madonna and wear all spandex. I love the 80's. :D

80s parties are awesome! You can wear your hair in a side ponytail or rat it so it's really big. Also, wear big bangles, bold eye-catchy colors, a fanny pack, tight tennis shoes, pink lipstick.
...I don't like the 80s at all :p

just do big scrunchy hair, and lots of crucifixes and big heavy make up, and leggings, and bracelets and beads, and a big headband that is made out of cloth, and then put on some rags.
you're set
but buy some clothes you might wear separately too, just don't waste money just for 80s look.
i think this defines the hairstyle

cool even more ideas
ok i think i am sticking with leggings under either a mini skirt or an oversized t-shirt/shirt dress that goes off the shoulder if i can find one
yeah it has to be something i'm gonna wear again because i work too hard to waste money on one time clothing :)
Thanks all who replied to my question

girls wore tight jeans with the bottoms tight-rolled above the ankles. A Tie-dye t-shirt with a knot tied at one side was popular. But most important was the hair. All the girls had big hair-do's- pig-tails, or pony-tails or layered-type things, with bangs. And tennishoes with socks.
So yeah, like Cyndi Lauper- except Cyndi would use alot of embellishments that I usually didn't see on the girls I knew.
