Hey

Anyone up for a March challenge?
You can pick your own diet and set yourself your own rules and then all you have to do is post your progress on here :)

I'm doing 800 cals a day for the next month, high I know but it's my max cal intake where I feel safe and I need the lee way.

Will post my stats tomorrow morning, hope to have some replies by then lol

Hiya, yep count me in, I'm gonna do 900 max cals a day cuz i also need the leeway most days i wont make it to 900 but its just on the safe side to have tht option so i dont binge.

count me in hun, could use the motivation! im doin fruits and veggies with a max cal intake of 400 per day for the next 2 weeks then ill raise it to 550 max for the rest of the month. good luck to everyone else who joins in. x x x

ooh I wanna join! I'd like to aim for 500 cals a day, but I'll probably end up consuming more like 900... or 1000... or 100,000... I really need to restrict as much as I can, though.

I also want to set a personal goal of not purging AT ALL during the whole month... something I'm not sure I can do. And I'm aiming to do an hour of exercise every day (which is more than I usually do).

OK if I don't post my stats? I'm really too embarrassed with how fat I am. I'll post how much weight I lose in lbs though.

I hope this next month goes great for everyone. :D

obviously im anticipating a slip up here or there, so my personal goal is 10lbs in the month. which feels manageable to me.

OK im now 106.2lb, which means i lost 1.4lb last night. im going shopping for a few hours (best exercise in the world!) then ill do an hour of yoga before going for a run this afternoon.

todays food;
breakfast= buleberries - 100 cal
lunch= strawberries - 60 cal
dinner= black berries - 100 cal
snack= apple - 60 cal
im having around 10 glasses of 2cal squash today so ill add another 20 cal which brings todays total to 340 cals

Well I am really pleased that this thread has gotten so many replies :) The more the merrier I say and I'm sure if we all pull together the month ahead will be the easiest month to lose weight ever!

Apologies as I am also not posting my stats, I'm just far too ashamed and too large to do that but will record my weight loss each week.

Piglet - that site was amazing, it's really helpful in telling everyone how much weight they could lose, anyhow I've used it to just post a few goals etc.

GW1: 129lbs (by 01/04/2009)
GW2: 122lbs (by 01/05/2009)
GW3: 118lbs (by 18/05/2009)
GW4: 115lbs (by 31/05/2009)
GW5: 112lbs (by 13/06/2009) - This is what my model weight should be
UGW: 108lbs (by 29/06/2009)

I know I have soooo much work to do but all I have to realise is that it will take time but because I know I can have 800 cals a day I really feel like I can do this, also on a more positive note once my calorie counting skipping ropes come I will be able to lose even more weight so hopefully will reach my UGW before the end of June.

Anyhow I wish you all the best of luck, don't forget though to post your overall calorie intake for the day so we can all keep track of each other :)

I will be going on that site in a miniute to work out my goals then I will come and let you's know. How tall are you all? Right today I have had
Breakfast= A bowl of Spekial K= 197 cals
Dinner= A piece of ham, a teaspoon of coleslaw and half a baby new potatoe.
It's not tea time yet but I know what I'll be having I'm going to have- A weightwatchers spagetti bolognase which is 209 cals.
I've had 1 cup of coffee so far but will probably have 2 more before the days up and a bottle of Coke zero which is only 2 cals. I haven't added up how many cals this is but I'm guessin it's under 900 I'll count in a sec.
I was havin such bad cravings last night and my hubby has some coconut biscuits in the cupboard which I love and he was offering me one and I was so so tempted I even sniffed one but when I woke up this mornin I was so glad I never give in to the biscuit. x

Oh yeah I forgot to add, if this breakfast, dinner and tea thing doesn't work and I don't lose at least 2lbs on my weigh in on Tuesday then I'm gonna go bk to starvin all day then havin my daily cals in just my tea cuz that worked last time I did that. x

i know i love that site!! although its easy to get overexcited and stay on it for ages just puttin in new numbers and seein how thin you could be lol.


iv just been to the gym and done 600cals cardio and 200 situps, and all iv had today is two weetabix with skimmed milk =150cals! woop woop

bf will be home for dinner though so must pretend to eat lots then... iv bought some healthy eating lamb steaks which are actually only 117cals each although they look like a lot of food, gna have a massive pile of curly kale (which has like 20 cals a portion) and maybe a couple of small new potatoes and il be under my 800 for the day but il look like iv had a big roast dinner. :)

monday is the day i weigh myself, so fingers crossed i will have lost this week even though had a bit of a scary carb moment on fri.

feels like a good day today ladies xxxxx

I will join too =)

I need to get better control over my binging/ throwing up days. I'm sick of it!
I will begin slowly, so that i don't fall back in the same tracks. So in the two upcoming days i will consume 1200 max, then I will cut it to 1000 max for two weeks =) (going lower by the weeks).

Count me in! :) I fell out of my after-christmas diet and gained again, so i am up for my maximum 500-calorie a day diet again as well. Doing soups, diet coke and tea.. Hungry as hell right now since this is my first day, and i ate A LOT OF SHIT yeasterday, but i am know i am ok again by tomorrow and the next days will only get better. Good luck everyone! <3

but today i've already had 300 =/ so ima purge it and hope to lose 5 pounds by next monday at least =]

Ive had 2 glass of diet coke, and i am doing fine..time is soon 20.00 here, going to watch my favourite tv show for a few hours, then go to bed. Already feel "stronger" and better...thats kinda scary, since its still day 1. :D:D Told my bf i am on my diet again, he just smiled and said like "-Well, another month in hell!" Haha, he doesnt even know what i am up to, thanks God he is working almost 24/7 lately...as long as he gets HIS dinner everyday, he will never notice that i am not eating anything at all. GREAT:D:)

Oh no I messed up! I ate about 10 of my sons chips and a coconut biscuit. I dunno if I hav now gone over cuz I don't know wat cals these have in, if anyone knows please let me know I'm goin mad! Thanks x

WOW I suck so much, I totally screwed up everything. Ate 600 calories early in the afternoon, which was ok, then I just fell apart. I ate everything I could stuff down my throat, threw it up, and did it again.

Yesterday I was fine, I thought I could continue with this, what happened??

So count me out of the challenge. I can't even keep up my goals for a day, I'll just get to see myself fail and fail again

Sometimes I wonder, what's the point of even trying? What's the point of going on?

I hope things go better for all the rest of you.

yes, im down another 1.6lb which means ive lost 8.6lb in 9 days. ok only another 12lb to go!

todays food;

breakfast = skipped
lunch = pear - 50 cal
snack = blueberries - 30 cal
dinner = 2 veggie sausages - 200 cal
brocccili - 30 cal
carrot - 15 cal
snack = frozen blackberries - 40 cal

total = 365 cals

yay i measured/weighed myself today and iv lost 4lbs over the week!! woop.

hoping to repeat that next week as that would be over half a stone which will make a big difference to my appearance.

i have a new short term goal for myself as well.. its my sisters birthday in a couple of weeks, so im going back home to visit... hoping to have lost enough that people will comment on the difference... not sure exactly how much this will be, but i feel like if someone i havnt seen in a month or so tells me im lookin thinner that will be a massive boost!!

on the flip side, if noone notices will prob feel like crap. but maybe that will help motivate me too. we shall see.

doin ok on cals today... not sure what am having for dinner.. some form of salad i think.
legs bums and tums at the gym tonight as well.. bye bye squidgy bits!!much love

I'm 5'6 and my weight is at 146 lbs.

Food intake:
B - oatmeal w/ soy milk - 141
L - 1 apple and yoghurt - 174
S - 1 roll - 200
M - 1 roll, 1 viana hot dog and tomato soup with spices - 534

Total: 1050 calories.

I am doing ok as well, had a smallsmall portion salad for "dinner", a glass of diet coke..and thats about it. not hungry still, but i know it will come along as i stay up wait my bf to get home from work. Bought some grapes, maybe ill have a few of them if i get to needy during the evening.

Right now i am just pissed off when i think of all the discusting things i ate last week, and the weeks before. Dieting feels so much better! Even a small salad tastes like paradise today...:D:D

Hope ur all hanging in there, stay STRONG! :)

hey im starting a day late!! so far today i've had a fruit salad(200 calories) and a regular salad (50 calories) i purged both, but just to stay on the safe side im counting it as eaten. my goal is going to be 900 calories a day because im prone to bingeing. this being said, im going to need to walk for at least an hour a day.
i can doo iiittt!!!!!
i need to get back to 120 asap. im about 150 now.

Hiya girls, I'm here to report my daily intake lol.
Today, 2nd March, I ate:
Breakfast: A bowl of Spekial K= 120ish
Dinner: Sardines on toast= 300
Tea= Weight watches chicken curry= 307
A couple of cups of coffee.
I'm not really doing as well as I want but I get weighed tomorow night so if I haven't lost then I'm going to try harder and lower my cals. I'll be back tomorow to write my days intake and let you all know if I have lost any lbs. x

Hi everyone,

Can someone give me an estimate of how many blueberries/grapes they eat and apples and veggies in order to get to a certain number of cals? I always estimate apples to be around 200 cals..

i always use calorieking.com to check... or look on the pack and estimate say a third or a quarter..
an apple is only about 70 cals though.

for example today, iv had
weetabix with skim milk-150cals
tomato and red pepper soup-150cals
weight watchers chicken curry-390 cals
and a clementine-35 cals..
which makes my total 725 if im adding up right!!
800 cals is actually quite a lot of food if you eat the right things.

i always look on the box lable for the cal content, for with everything else i have an A-Z of calories book that has the answers for everyting i eat.

anyways ive had a good day today and lost 0.6lb last night. todays food;
1 pear - 50
1 portion of frozen blackberries - 30 - OMG they are soooo good!
1 banana - 80
2 portions of broccili - 30
1 carrot - 15
1 veggie sausage - 100

total cal for today = 305

Glad to see so many still hanging in here! Today i had a hard-boiled egg, a small piece of dark bread, and a small box of popcorn as i went to cinema with a friend and i cant resist popcorn. :mad: Anyway, think i am still under 500 cals today, so guess i am ok. :)

Count me in! I'm putting 900 calories as my topper as to not be discouraged if I go over my first goal of 500. I work out every day for a long time, and the passing out just isn't flying under the gym's radar anymore, hah. Yay! I'm so happy this is here! I'm in a rut right now, so this is great!! x3

damn it i maintained. im going to increase my yoga to 40 min a day and go for a run after work, also im gona have to have some bran flakes this morning to get things moving again! today's limit it 300;

bran flakes (with water) - 100
blueberries - 100
apple - 50
pear - 50

hopefully ill be losing again by tomorrow.

That's a hard one but I think I'd say restricting all week and not losing cuz if I had a week off I would be expecting to gain but if I'm restricting all week then I would be expecting to lose. x

I'm new here on the forum, so a few days late.

I started my diet last week on thursday. On those 6 days i already lost 4 kg (8,8 lbs) I still want to lose 8 kg more (17,6 lbs).

I tryed to restrict my kcal intake to 400 kcal. but most days I didn't even got to 200. Of wich i'm really proud :D .

Hope to get to my goal at least at the end of march.

But sadely i've fallen a bit sick (a cold :( ) today, so I force myself to take in 600 kcal or more. So my body gets some extra energy to fight of the cold as fast as possible... i wanna go run again. But it's hard. With every bite more i take, it feels like i'm gonna get fatter, instead of thinner.

oh well...

stats:

length: 5"7' (170cm)
starting weight: 150 lbs (68kg)
weight at the moment: 141 lbs (64kg)
goal weight: 123 lbs (56kg)

I'm from belgium, so i'm not used to these kind of measurements. I use google to convert.

Ah hey girls its seth here just like super happy im at 191 from 194 two days ago Im only gonna eat a bag of lays baked chips 160 cals tody and some banana peppers :) cant wait hope every one is doing amazing MUAH!!!!

Yesterday I eat around 1000kcals, and the same amount today =)
I know that it is a bit much, but I'm actually proud of myself for not binging and sticking to my diet =) And for the next week my plan is to only eat max 1000 calories

But as always, in a few days, a big obstacle will come my way.
I'm going out to a party. One thing that is great is that it won't be food there..only chips, but I don't like chips so much and I know that I won't eat it.
But I know that I will drink...

Tea: weightwatchers spag bol 209 cals with 65 cal bag of frozen veg.

Coffee
Must cut right back tomorow I feel like Ive had a feast today.

I ate around 1000 calories today, noooo! And it was all almost in carbs - I binged and ate 2 bagels, and I had a veggie burger patty at lunch. (My friends are getting suspicious, so I needed to eat something that was "bad" or else they were going to make me eat chocolate. xPP) To top it off, I can't go to the gym today. Lame.... ;(

i didnt do brillantly today either, i am tryin to stick to 800, but ate 850. although i did burn 600 at the gym.

but tomorrow its my bf's dad's birthday and we are going to a indian restaurant... nightmare!!! im thinkin if i just have a main meal and no side dishes or anything, i can leave some of the meal as well?

im not going to have breakfast o lunch, save all the cals for the dinner. and also try to burn as many as i can at the gym tomo afternoon.

has anyone got any idea how many calories there are in a standard curry and rice?? im guessing about 500 in the curry and 300 in teh rice... not really sure though!! i hate not knowing, i like to calculate everything!!

dont really feel like im losing though, dont know why!! i should be, considering my cals.

im thinking i may try a variation on 2468, maybe 500 700 900, 500 700 900.

i really hope i lose at least 2lb this week.. will be soo gutted if i maintain, after puttin in the work!!!

f**k it i gained. im up 1lb from yesterday and i dont know why, well i have an idea and im off to buy some laxies to see if that solves the problem! I've got a wedding to go to on Saturday but im not going to let it affect my diet, just fruit for me, nothing else. anyways today's food:
breakfast- bran flakes = 100 (i had to!)
lunch-banana = 100
dinner- 2 pears = 100
snack - frozen blueberries = 100
today's total = 400 cal

my weightloss so far is now 8.6lb, im gona be really good tomorrow - 150 cal

But insted i had a bag of fat free pertzels that i diped in Cal free mustard :) Only 130 cals yesterday and im down a pund
Im so happy i did this and it just keeps geting better

I Like loosing waigght it gaves me confidence and willingness to do better in other aspects of my life I just wish they could seet that...

2 coffees

OH MY GOD there is sausage rolls in the fridge and im so tempted to go and eat them im usin all my strength not to go to the fridge and just eat one but dunno if i can last much longer help me!!

Hey folks. I went to see my grandmother 2 days ago and she forced me to have a pizza-slice, :mad: so i was really sure i went over my 500 and gained again..but thanks God I didnt. Ive lost over 4 kg (8.8lbs) since sunday..so i am quite satisfied. As for today ive only had a few grapes, but i am going to buy diet coke and eggs now, so ill eat an egg later today if i get hungry :)

ARRGH! I've had a bad day today started off okay but went completly wrong I'm so embarresed tht I'm not gonna post my days intake hope u dont mind.
Tomorow I'm fasting til night time then I'll have summit small.
When I get weighed on Tuesday if I've maintained or put on or only lost 1lb then I'm gonna scrap the breakfast, dinner tea thing and just fast until tea time then eat under 500 for tea this sounds far better than what I'm doing now. x

I'm gonna go on a water/coffee fast for Monday and Tuesday. I think I'm gonna do this every Monday and Tuesday. I'll restrict the other days and fast these days. Has anyone done this and had sucsess? x

im on a water fast today (saturday) as i went slightly over on friday, and iv got that bloated feeling.
i weigh myself monday so i may fast tomo as well depending on how i feel.
i personally find that a fast is most effective after a day when youve gone over or had a binge. i think the binge day must boost your metabolism or something.
but hopefully il lose another pound or two before monday.

So far today i had 1 egg and 1 piece of some dark bread, just to prepare my stomach for tonights party. Going to a surprise-birthday party, and i will have to drink some alcohol. So i bought vodka, lime and diet coke..since i know i am not gaining anything from drinking this. Problem can be the tapas and snack they will have there, but i will try to be strong and stay away from it.

its hard when you go to a party and all the food is just laid out in front of you isnt it?

just dance all night- that way you get to burn cals!!

So OMG i pertty much feel like shit today I ate a decent amout yesterday because i knew i was going to drink but Damn i gained and then i got home and ate a bunch i got angry and tried to purg most of it back up but im really sad im not eating anything els today other then diet soda and I gonna fast tomaro Coffee i hope is all i consume any ways keep up the good work girls ttul

Looks like we all had a bad day yesterday.
Today I had:
Breakfast: Nothing= 0 cals
Dinner= Weightwatchers chicken hotpot= around 295 cals
Tea= My homemade soup= ? cals.

I made some soup today I put in it- 1 onion, 1 leek, about a third of a turnip, 4 carrots, chicken boullion(4cals worth) and water. I calculated this as around 396 cals for the whole pan tht i made ive had a bowl out of it and theres still a good few bowls left and it can last up to 4 days in the fridge so its very good.

Is aanyone else anxious about their weigh in?? It's myn on Tuesday and im feelin really worried incase i havent lost while i have been tryin x

your soup sounds good.. iv just made a similar one and frozen portions of it for next week.. think it worked out at 84 cals a portion.

its the waiting i cant stand... i know im being good but hate waiting to see results!!! x

I know I hate the waiting aswell, I've been so good but feel like givin up sometimes cuz when I look in the mirror (everytime I go past it I lift up my top and have a look) I can't see any changes and I don't feel any lighter. And then I worry about the weigh in incase I haven't lost it's really frustrating x

The 6th of march I was out.. And I did go over my calorie limit, but I didn't overeat.. i just over drank... Too much beer I guess.

On Saturday and today (Sunday):
Back to my plan, and it has gone well =)
Today I will keep my calories below 900.

Last two days I've been binging, and I can't get myself to purge, as I'm trying to stop that habit and just eat less...but I"m starting a water fast for a week. :3

yay i lost 6lbs this weeks so thats 8lbs since march 1st.

really happy actually, i love it when i do even better than my goal for the week, its the best.


im only 6lb away from my short term goal weight now.
its looking good.

Hey girls its seth i feel kinda bad ive been like eating things at work like i had a sugar cookie and 6in Sub like chicken :(
and i put a bunch of stuff on it
ive decited notto eattoday and go to the YMCA
I really hate binging on things like crackers and chips mmmm i love them

any ways i was in my 1st class today and this girl next to me wanted me to eat some of her chips ..... No way am i doing that it felt good to just say no

Bloody hell, I binged today...
There's nothing more to say than that.
But this morning i my weight was 141 lbs... that's 4 lbs (almost 2 kg)of my bloody body... Well tomorrow is a new and stricter day!.

I'm actually proud of me so fare, minus the binge, because I didn't think that I would loose that much.. I hope the scale will say the same thing tomorrow. Wish me luck.

I got weighed tonight and I've only lost 1 measly pound! But I know exactly where I went wrong this week so I know how to correct it so I can reach my weekly goal of 2-3lbs.

hey, couldnt access forum yesterday, dont know why?

yesterday wasnt the best,
im currently setting myself a limit of 600 on days when i dont go to the gym, and 800 when i do. (keeping my metabolism up)
but yesterday i had 800 and then fell asleep so i didnt go!!
going to try to make up for it today.
bu i remember when i used to eat 1200 id still lose weight so hopefuly it wont affect my progress too much.

really worried about this weekend, im going home for my sisters birthday, and i know il be made to eat all sorts of unhealthy things.
panicking slightly.

I couldn't get on here til last night, it wasn't working around tea time anyway. I was good yesterday all I had all day was under 400cals. I've decided to not have breakfast dinner and tea anymore cuz I tried tht for a week last week and only lost 1lb so from now on I'm just gonna starve all day and have a low cal tea like under 400 then hopefully I will see better results on Tuesday. x

Well, your metabolism needs something to start it, so have a little something t eat in the morning. Also, try to spread your "meals" throughout the day, so your metabolism keeps going.

i agree that some sort of breakfast is good metabolism wise, but when you get down to low numbers of calories, (anything less than 5-600) it gets really hard to separate that into 3 meals.
so i often have a banana or something for breakfast to kick start my day then a 400 cal "meal" for dinner, when other people are likely o see me eating it.

So today was a great morning i woke up to see that im down to 186-187 But OMG i had such a nightmar OK so yesterday i at some rice my mom maid and then i relized it was 200 cal a serving and she put butter in it .....
I was freaken the fuck out
any ways in my dream i ate like 6 servings of this rice and i couldent sleep cuz i thought i ate all this food i even went to my scale to check
any ways i lost waight and im only gonna eat pertzels and mustard today
about 220 cals if i do this rite....

aaarrrghhhh biggest binge ever today, i ahvnt even worked out calories because im scared to, but i think iv prob had at least 1500-2000 today.
so annoyed with myself. this is the first time iv binged in two weeks.
its cz i was trying to have a "normal" meal in front of friends and that just set me off!!

i dont think im going to lose this week, got the weekend from hell comin up food-wise, sisters birthday.

going to fast tomo.

and hopefully next week i can get back on track.

ugh. feel disgusting right now.

hey, i hope you don't mind me joining in the challenge, i have been on holiday so am starting now.

I did ok today, i had about 789 cals and did a short workout burning about 261 calories so am feeling pretty good.

I am drinking tomorrow so need to eat more but i vary my days to keep my metabolism active so i'm not too worried.

I plan on restricting to no more than 200 cals, on days my bf instists I eat something other than that I'll be fasting.
I wont be able to post measurements, but I will post my weights each day.

not doing too badly today..
i wanted to lose this week but because iv had a crap bingey week and am at home for celebrations this weekend have decided that maintaining wouldnt be so bad. can then go on a big fast next week or something an take advantage of my metabolism.

want to lose a stone in the next month, so long as i do that il be ok i think.

heya, i have had such a good day today - for me anyway. i have eaten about 600 cals but worked of 300 in a short workout so all in all i should have bunrt loads more off doing other stuff.

Weighed yesterday and i had lost another 3lbs so all in all i'm feeling pretty good!

These last 4 days have been....interesting.
First, I had a sleep over with some friends = chips and beer.. =/.
I was at a wedding on Sunday and eat cake... stupid stupid stupid.
So I went over my calorie limit... But yesterday and today I have been a good girl =) Keeping myself below 900 calories and exercising like a maniac... I'm soar all over!

aahhhhhh i maintained - still stuck at 104, its like no matter how hard i push i just cant cross that barrier. well fuck it, its the weekend tomorrow and im gona spend it asleep - ill take some tranquilizers tonight, hopefully sleep until 3pm tomorrow, get up, drink some water and go back to bed. repeat untill Monday morning, its a guaranteed way to drop 3lb. I'll post my stats on Monday.

and my housemate just told me that my legs looked thin! yay!

the tranquilizers i use are called phenazepam, i get them over the Internet as you can only get them on prescription in the UK! they really knock me out but its a last resort, just cant stand maintaining for more than 2 days, it drives me crazy!

strange how our goals change isnt it, i feel like i should have lost more now!
but anyway.., its now the 22nd of march, so we have just over a week left to lose weight... and then for a final report on our march progress!

iv signed myself up to do a load of night shifts in my upcoming eatser hols... i find its easier not to eat at night and then sleep all the next day. so hopefully that'l help a lot. xxx

So my parents said something about mee looking thiner and i told them w.e im geting my self heathy and my docter said i could get down to 185 I told them im at 191 so they dont give me shit and i loose more waight :D im almost to my goal waight :D
