i was looking at this old report about a tv programme where the presenter had to become a size zero.

two things, at BMI 18.5, there is no way i would fit into a size 0, i know, iv been there, and i was still a UK 10. US 4.
(im 6ft 1 if anyone cares) size 0 would fit on maybe half my arm. :(

and secondly, i dont think she really looks that skinny in the pic at the top of the page? not catwalk model skinny anyway... and if BMI 18.5 is the new limit for some catwalks, how do they all do it?

she must be really short-- that article says that at a BMI of 22, her waist was just 28"! I'm 5'7", even shorter than you piglet, and I'm sure that at a BMI of even 18.0 I would not fit a size zero. Not at all. She is short.

Almost everything she says about her experience seems weird to me. I guess it's because she did it without actually wanting to be skinny, she was just forcing herself to behave like an anorexic. Like saying her hunger never went away? I don't think that happens to most people after eating so little for a while. Hunger kinda dies away.

I don't get why she says "I'd eaten a single broccoli floret for lunch, or a cube of tuna for dinner" -- that would be a lot less than 500 calories a day. Was she exaggerating?

I feel kinda annoyed that I've never been able to do what she did... I've never kept at <500 calories every single day for 8 weeks... and I cannot keep up a strenuous exercise routine every day. And she didn't even seem to want to lose the weight!

Thanks for posting that link piglet. Really interesting.

i was wondering if they had changed some of her stats to make the programme more interesting or to stop people trying to copy.

i suppose everyone's bodies are just different shapes...

but im still annoyed with how well she did lol!!
