Basically i want to know what everyones daily food intake is, i eat a few biscuits each day and drink loads of tea. I have an underactive thyroid which makes it difficult to lose weight and i exercise quite hard but dont see a big difference with toning my muscles. So whats your diet and exercise plan like?

Hiya, well I have up to 900 cals a day max most days I don't reach the whole 900 somedays I only eat about 3 or 400. I don't do any exercise cuz I hate it but I run round after 5 kids and I go on their big trampoline. Occassionally I will slip up and binge but it doesn't last for long maybe a couple of hours then I feel fat and try to correct things. I don't own any scales cuz I am addicted to goin on them so I just go round to my sisters every Tuesday and weigh myself there.

im also on 800 a day at the moment and its going really well. not had a crisis moment yet anyway!!
but what i eat to make up those 800 (or sometimes less) cals changes everyday... if im hungry i eat tuna and loads of salad to fill me up, or soup, cz its low cal but really filling.
but if i want chocolate il eat it, just a tiny bit, and then just count the calories as normal.

the only thing i find is that when i eat pasta or bread i get more bloated, and it gives me a chubby face the next day... carb face!!

exercise wise, i go to the gym at least 4 times a week, and always do at least 400cals worth of cardio plus situps and swimming as well. or il do cardio then go to a yoga class or something.

and on non gym days i try to walk to work or uni or whatever, cz they are both about 400cals worth round trips.

im managing this now cz im still quite heavy though... i might find it harder when i start to lose!!!

I do max 800, but usually 500.

I dont do much exercise, i hate it. But i was wondering, how do you guys know how much calories you burn? I swim sometimes and walk a lot at school, but i generally make up for my lack of exercise by restricting my calorie intake.

I usually eat a meal replacement shake (200 cals) for breakfast, then i have 1/2 a meal replacement bar(100 cals) then a 300 cal limit for tea.

If im feeling like a binge i usually have Jelly (called Jello in USA :P) for about 10 cals, or a massive binge will be a packet of Weight Watchers Custard, around 50 cals.

there are loads of counters on the internet for tellin you how many cals you have burned.. try caloriesperhour.com cz it has lots on there. at the gym its easy cz the machines calculate it for you.

From the exercise you do, do you look musclular/toned. What about height, weight if anybody is comfortable with saying. I find it quite interesting the different eating habits we all have with the same ED.

Thanks for the replys :)

i can definitely tell teh difference if i dont exercise for a week or so... my stomach and legs/bum particularly.. although muscle is heavier than fat, so you have to be aware of that if you are gna start doin a lot of exercise.

I'm trying for a 400/500 day, but I'm going to try adding a five day fast in every two weeks to see how that works. I may start off, since I've been on a MAJOR binge the last few days, with 800 calorie days. ;3

same here, doing 300-500 a day depending on how im feeling in the morning - some days i just cant resist a bowl of branflakes for breakfast! other than that im doing fruits and veggies for the next few weeks to shift the 16lb i gained over the last 6 weeks. feeling so uncomfortably fat right now, just wish i could sleep for a week and wake up to my bones again! god i need to get back to 92lb asap, cant stand feeling like this.

I go for 300 calories a day.

It's just getting easier and easier to restrict, so I keep cutting it down.

However, my weight has plateau'd so I am seeing no major weight loss right now.

well right now I am going to be starting a water fast.Normally I try to keep my calories between 500 and 800. I eat a lot of fruit and veggies b/c they help give me a lot of energy. I also drink a lot of water. I try to go for a run in the morning for about 20 minutes but sometimes that just doesn't happen so I go for a walk inbetween my classes at college.

I eat between 500 and 800 cals in a day, sometimes i go overboard and eat more than that but then I purge. I usually eat foods that are bad too, like Nesquik for breakfast, skip lunch and then eat like half of my dinner that the rents cook. That's where i usually go overboard and eat all of it. Then I have a snack before i got to bed. Usually toast.

I usually spend about 2 hours at the gym 4 times a week, 1 hour of cardio and then the other hour doing leg and ab exercises (and talking haha).

I eat about 500 a day, but my max is 800 so I don’t feel too bad if I go a bit over 500.

i am a venturing bulimic as well. yet I am a special case, i limit my intake by what is going in my mouth. I am a very restricted eater, therefore I prob consume around 1000-1200 calories of non-dairy, non meat, less than 3 grams natural fat foods. control freak when it comes to what goes in me. I dont purge much though, i am more of an OCD bulimic. if something is out of order i purge in some way. well, theres my two cents. cheers.

I take 100mcg a day. I was up to 112mcg but I started feeling worse so I dropped back to 100 until I get my blood tests results back and see the doctor. I was lucky to get dx'ed because most of my numbers were in "normal" range. I'm told that once you get the meds where they should be (symptoms gone, feel good, etc.) that weight loss is much easier.

lately, consistently,1500 cals a week. i have diet 7up, sip very slowly- by choice- not forced on fat free cocoa with 40 oz water hot. then 4 oz light cranberry juice to get some carbs/sugar in to get rid of brain fog and hurting eyes. that i have everyday. and i usually do that twice a day, morning, night, to stay hydrated! some weeks i'll go 3 days no food, and then allow mysefl to have 700-1100 cals of thomas light english muffins and pepperidge 15-grain bread. before these last 2 months, i never ate bread for 7 years! and it satisfies me for a couple of days. then after 3 days, i'll have 3 dannon light n fit vanilla yogurts, then a day no food, then a kiwi, an english muffin, and 2 slices bread for another day.

i'm transitioning right now from homes, and the current place i'm at, there's no near grocery store, so i have to eat what's in the house. in 2 months, once i get back to my place, i'll go back to eating everyday: cocoa in mornig, light cranberry juice for lunch, dinner: 3 dannon light n fit yogurts, 2 big fruits- peach or orange, and another cocoa, 5 oz juice= so probably estimate 500 max

Not everyone loses weight when hyper. I believe I was a bit hyper on 112mcg and all I felt was tired and sluggish and the weight did not come off. So yes, a lot of hyper people do lose weight, but not everyone. Also, some hypo people lose weight. I know it's not fair that we are both the normal hypo weight gainers!

What does UT stand for? Underactive thyroid?

I take my medication as prescribed and eat very light - even 1200 calories a day is often too much. Oh...I also get some kind of exercise every day. If I'm not at the gym I at least go for a walk.

For the past 3 weeks, I have had 1 bowl of oatmeal a day, if that.
There have been a few days where I haven't eaten at all, due to running out of oatmeal.

I do 600-800 per day normally (500 if I don't excecise) and fast sometimes to. Am fasting now, which means just diet coke and black coffee. Sometimes I just need that feeling of being totally empty.

I have a limit of 500/600, with some sort of exercise each day. Try to stick to 300/400 though with exercise. Finding it ok at the moment. :)
