Is this really lame of me ?? .

Hey .
Today , i intend to go shopping with a friend to buy dresses and cigarettes for parties we are going to . It sounds like fun , but she's isn't sure if she will be allowed as her perants are pretty pissed at her atm for something completley unrelated to anything .
So , if she can't come , i'm just going to spend a couple of hours shopping by myself . Thats not really sad is it ??? . I mean , i don't mind being alone . The same thing happened to me the other day so i spend two and a half hours just shopping . The only thing i hate is the weird looks i get off people . (I live in a small town were everyone knows everyones age at the very least - and i don't dress ""normally"") .
I was just wondering what you guys thought about this .

yeahh, sometimes doing things alone can feel awkward especially when you see other groups of people your age doing it together. i would try not to let that feeling get to you though. shopping is fun, and it's not like you're some weird loser with no friends, your friend just wasn't able to come. i think it would be lamer to stay home and deprive yourself of shopping because of the looks you might get from other people, then to go shopping alone and get yourself some cute stuff lol. anybody who looks at you wrong is just being dumb, because there's nothing wrong with doing things alone. i think people should learn to do things alone more often actually. independence is a good thing! like i hate being by myself so much, that i'll never go out without my friends, and that's not a good way to be. i think you'll be fine shopping alone, and even if you do have a bad time it's only one day, you know? good luck finding a cute dress :] xo

Thankyou very much :) . It wasn't ranty , it was nice to read .
I do alot of things on my own . But its strange because i do alot of things with others as well , like , i go out with friends most evenings and i've joined lots of different dance groups . Its just sometimes i need to be alone because otherwise ill let people know too much about me . And that never ends well :/ .
But i had a good trip in the end !! :D couldn't get the fags though , they wouldn't serve me !! :L . I found this lovley dress , with flowers all over it . And an amazing skirt . I also found out i fit into a size 6 (Uk sizes) now -- which means i've gone down a dress size !! Wheyy :D . :L .

congrats on going down a size! that's always a super nice feeling :) plus a uk size 6 is tinyy! buut yeah, i get what you mean about needing to be alone sometimes. every now and then i'll be with my friends and we'll be having fun, but some part of me would just rather be by myself. then i feel bad, because they're not doing anything wrong and i should be having fun, but i still feel that way. doing things alone is easier a lot of the time though. i hate when you're in a big group of people and nobody can agree on what to do or where to go, so you all just end up standing around haha. that's always annoying. i'm getting ready to go meet some friends now, and i kind of just feel like blaah i want to stay in and watch tv all night lol. ohh well! hope you're doing well also xo
