View Full Version : Fasting Questions - diet soda, tea, and working out.

I was wondering if, on a water fast if tea with splenda and diet soda was alright; after all, they're 0 calorie drinks. But, because of the sodium content in the diet coke, I drink a bottle of water, and only one a day. I wasn't sure if there would be less weight loss from those drinks, and if the increased sodium would hurt me.

My other question was, I work out religiously. I generally try to run for a minimum of 30 minutes and burn 450 calories. But, while I'm fasting, what intensity should I work out to? I haven't eaten in two days now (yay!! <3), and I figured if I worked out too it would boost the weight loss, and if I drank a 1/2 of a serving of Gatorade 2, it would be around 30 calories for the day.

i think its probably best to try to work out a bit because itl keep your metabolism up, since fasting makes it slow down...
but dont overdo it... if you start passing out everywhere people will start asking questions and they will make you eat!!
maybe walk on an incline or swim instead of run?

Sadly, I had to end my fast very very early thanks to my friends making me eat, and a birthday party I have to attend. D: And, I haven't been able to work out in two days, ahhh! D:<
